The MSI Vector GP76 is very good for engineering and design, while the Gigabyte A5 is good.
The MSI Vector GP76 stands out for engineering and design use due to its more powerful Intel i7 processor and superior Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti graphics card when compared to the Gigabyte A5's AMD Ryzen 5 processor and Nvidia RTX 3060 graphics card. Despite the A5's portability and satisfactory screen, the Vector GP76's additional RAM and larger screen may offer improved multitasking and a better visual workspace, which is crucial for detailed engineering and design tasks.

"Ignoring price, the Gigabyte A5 has a hard time against the similarly fast competition. Besides the loud noise in 3D mode (performance mode), the high temperature development of the components should be mentioned on the downside. Despite the relatively thick case, the laptop gets very warm and loud under load, which does not exactly speak for the cooling system. The plastic surfaces look rather cheap and also tend to rattle. In most other disciplines - be it the input devices, the screen, the connectivity or the battery runtime - the Gigabyte laptop does not stand out from the crowd, neither positively nor negatively. However, those who primarily pay attention to the price-performance ratio will get a pretty good offer with the Gigabyte A5."
"The MSI Vector GP76 12UGS is a gaming laptop on speed. The advantages are clear: The Vector GP76 is a real gamer with its 360 Hz display and super-fast response times. In addition, the Core i7-12700H has double the power of the CPU in its predecessor and another highlight is the Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti with a real power consumption of 150 watts. This places the device in the top range of our database. The Vector can also operate rather quietly, offers a full sound range, improved battery runtimes, a key-configurable RGB keyboard, a very stable chassis and good upgrade options. Moreover, the display produces a nice, rich and clear picture."
