If you value gaming performance and are ok with a heavier and bulkier laptop, the Gigabyte A5 with its Nvidia RTX 3060 graphics card may suit you. However, if you prefer a lighter and thinner laptop for easier portability, the MSI Thin GF63 might be the better choice; keep in mind that its lower-tier Nvidia RTX 4050 graphics card means it won't perform as well in demanding games or 3D applications. Both have similar battery life and processor power, but the A5 could be slightly better for multitasking with more demanding software, due to the Ryzen processor's characteristics. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte A5 has a better screen than the MSI Thin GF63 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design, while the MSI Thin GF63 has a better screen for content creation.
The Gigabyte A5 has a screen that offers clear and vibrant images due to better resolution and brightness, making it suitable for tasks like browsing and watching videos, which are common in general use. For engineering and design, its screen can display a wide range of colors, allowing for precise work with visuals, but for gaming and 3D applications, it falls short because it doesn't have a high refresh rate, leading to less smooth motion. Meanwhile, the MSI Thin GF63 provides an acceptable level of sharpness and color for everyday activities and professional design tasks, but like the Gigabyte A5, its lower refresh rate can detract from the gaming experience where fluidity is crucial.

How the Gigabyte A5 and the MSI Thin GF63 compare to other laptops
"Ignoring price, the Gigabyte A5 has a hard time against the similarly fast competition. Besides the loud noise in 3D mode (performance mode), the high temperature development of the components should be mentioned on the downside. Despite the relatively thick case, the laptop gets very warm and loud under load, which does not exactly speak for the cooling system. The plastic surfaces look rather cheap and also tend to rattle. In most other disciplines - be it the input devices, the screen, the connectivity or the battery runtime - the Gigabyte laptop does not stand out from the crowd, neither positively nor negatively. However, those who primarily pay attention to the price-performance ratio will get a pretty good offer with the Gigabyte A5."
"The MSI GF63 Thin 11SC can be an admirable value for gamers and power users on a minimal budget. For just $599 as reviewed in its base model, its Intel Core i5 H-class processor and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 graphics perform much better than low-wattage CPUs and integrated graphics. That said, this is a light-class gaming laptop. Low scores in our demanding gaming benchmarks indicate using lower visual-quality settings will be required for playable performance."
