If portability is a priority, Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga is lighter and has a higher battery life. It's also more suitable for business use and has a touchscreen with higher resolution and color accuracy, which can be better for general use and engineering tasks that benefit from a sharp display. However, the Gigabyte A5 offers better performance in 3D rendering, machine learning, and gaming due to its stronger main processor and dedicated NVIDIA graphics. Although the Gigabyte A5 is less portable and has a shorter battery life, it also comes at a lower price point compared to the Lenovo, offering a cost-effective option for performance-intensive tasks. The Gigabyte A5 is good for gaming and AI, while the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga is only fair.
The Gigabyte A5 boasts a superior dedicated Nvidia RTX 3060 graphics card and a higher screen refresh rate of 144Hz, which are both very important for a fluid gaming and 3D experience, while the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga is equipped with an integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics and a standard 60Hz refresh rate, making it less optimal for such demanding tasks. Although both have comparable CPUs and high screen quality, the Gigabyte's GPU and refresh rate give it a noticeable edge in gaming and 3D performance over the ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga, which falls behind in these specific aspects.

How the Gigabyte A5 and the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga compare to other laptops
"Ignoring price, the Gigabyte A5 has a hard time against the similarly fast competition. Besides the loud noise in 3D mode (performance mode), the high temperature development of the components should be mentioned on the downside. Despite the relatively thick case, the laptop gets very warm and loud under load, which does not exactly speak for the cooling system. The plastic surfaces look rather cheap and also tend to rattle. In most other disciplines - be it the input devices, the screen, the connectivity or the battery runtime - the Gigabyte laptop does not stand out from the crowd, neither positively nor negatively. However, those who primarily pay attention to the price-performance ratio will get a pretty good offer with the Gigabyte A5."
"The ThinkPad X1 Titanium is a showcase of what Lenovo thinks business computing will look like in the near future. People want thinner, lighter laptops with high-quality screens and enough computing power to get their work done. The X1 Titanium achieves these goals with some controversial but innovative design choices, including a redesigned keyboard and a pared-down port selection."
