The Gigabyte A5 is less expensive and offers solid gaming performance thanks to its Nvidia RTX 3060 graphics card, though its battery life is shorter and it's slightly heavier. On the other hand, the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16" is more expensive but features a better processor, a higher quality display with a higher resolution and refresh rate, and a longer battery life, making it suitable for more demanding engineering and 3D/machine learning tasks. The Lenovo also is more portable given its lighter weight and the screen offers better colors and is more suitable for faster motion, which can be a perk for gaming and video editing. Give Feedback

The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16" is very good for general use, while the Gigabyte A5 is good.
The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16" boasts a more powerful CPU and double the storage of the Gigabyte A5, along with a higher resolution screen that may offer more vivid colors and sharper images, which justifies its higher rating for general use. Additionally, its thinner and lighter design coupled with a longer battery life contributes to its portability and usability in various settings, versus the Gigabyte A5 which, while offering satisfactory performance and portability, doesn't quite match the Lenovo in these aspects.

The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16" is very good for gaming and AI, while the Gigabyte A5 is good.
The Gigabyte A5, with a Nvidia RTX 3060 GPU and a screen refresh rate of 144Hz, offers a solid gaming and 3D experience; however, the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 comes with a more advanced Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU and a higher refresh rate of 240Hz, boosting its performance for gaming and 3D applications. While both have comparable CPUs and screen quality, the higher-spec GPU and refresh rate on the Legion Slim 7 make it better suited for more intense gaming and rendering tasks.

The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 has a better screen than the Gigabyte A5 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, both laptops have screens that offer clear, crisp images due to their high resolution and ample brightness, with the Lenovo Legion Slim providing a bit of an edge in sharpness and vibrancy. The engineering and design professionals would appreciate the Lenovo's superior coverage of color gamuts, resulting in more accurate color representation which is crucial for their work. However, gamers and 3D designers looking for fluid motion and quick screen responses may find both laptops lacking due to their lower refresh rates, with neither being the ideal choice for fast-paced gaming or 3D rendering.

"Ignoring price, the Gigabyte A5 has a hard time against the similarly fast competition. Besides the loud noise in 3D mode (performance mode), the high temperature development of the components should be mentioned on the downside. Despite the relatively thick case, the laptop gets very warm and loud under load, which does not exactly speak for the cooling system. The plastic surfaces look rather cheap and also tend to rattle. In most other disciplines - be it the input devices, the screen, the connectivity or the battery runtime - the Gigabyte laptop does not stand out from the crowd, neither positively nor negatively. However, those who primarily pay attention to the price-performance ratio will get a pretty good offer with the Gigabyte A5."
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is a slim Legion notebook that is just as excellent with Nvidia & Intel. However, the Legion Slim 7i slightly sullied by lacklustre battery life. You get a slim aluminium chassis, great input devices, decent port selection, fast high-quality WQXGA display and great performance. Supporting Thunderbolt 4 is one advantage of the Intel/Nvidia model tested in this review. Moreover, this variant has slightly higher CPU performance as well as better GPU performance in certain applications (e.g. CUDA-based apps). The Lenovo Legion S7i is thin, premium and performant – but less efficient than its AMD counterpart."
