Considering price and performance for different tasks, the Gigabyte A5 is less expensive, suitable for general use and gaming, but with a lower-end GPU and CPU compared to the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro. The Legion 5 Pro is more costly but boasts better performance in 3D rendering, machine learning, and engineering tasks due to a more powerful CPU and GPU. Additionally, the Legion 5 Pro has a larger, higher resolution display which might be preferable for creative work. However, it is heavier and has lower portability than the A5. Battery life is also a consideration: the Gigabyte A5 offers average duration while the Legion 5 Pro's is significantly shorter, impacting portability. Give Feedback

The Lenovo Legion Pro 5 is very good for engineering and design, while the Gigabyte A5 is good.
The Lenovo Legion 5 Pro stands out for engineering and design due to its superior processing power with the AMD Ryzen 7, more capable RTX 4070 GPU, larger and higher-resolution 16-inch 16:10 display with greater color accuracy and brightness, all contributing to better performance and visual clarity necessary for demanding tasks. While the Gigabyte A5 offers a decent AMD Ryzen 5 CPU and RTX 3060 GPU, suitable for many engineering applications, it falls short in comparison, with a smaller and lower resolution screen and less overall capacity to handle intensive workloads, despite being a more portable option with better battery life.

The Lenovo Legion Pro 5 has a better screen than the Gigabyte A5 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Gigabyte A5, with its decent resolution and brightness, provides an enjoyable experience for everyday tasks and detailed work in engineering and design, but its lower refresh rate makes it less ideal for gaming and 3D applications where smooth motion is crucial. The Lenovo Legion Pro 5, boasting sharp resolution and high brightness, excels in both day-to-day use and color-critical engineering tasks due to its wide color gamut coverage, yet similarly falls short for gaming and 3D uses because of its inadequate refresh rate. For customers prioritizing gaming or 3D work, a laptop with a higher refresh rate would provide a superior visual experience.

How the Gigabyte A5 and the Lenovo Legion Pro 5 compare to other laptops
"Ignoring price, the Gigabyte A5 has a hard time against the similarly fast competition. Besides the loud noise in 3D mode (performance mode), the high temperature development of the components should be mentioned on the downside. Despite the relatively thick case, the laptop gets very warm and loud under load, which does not exactly speak for the cooling system. The plastic surfaces look rather cheap and also tend to rattle. In most other disciplines - be it the input devices, the screen, the connectivity or the battery runtime - the Gigabyte laptop does not stand out from the crowd, neither positively nor negatively. However, those who primarily pay attention to the price-performance ratio will get a pretty good offer with the Gigabyte A5."
"It doesn't quite match its Legion Pro 7i sibling as an Editors' Choice winner, but Lenovo's AMD-powered Legion Pro 5 Gen 8 is a stylish, well-built gaming laptop with solid performance at both 1080p and its sharper native resolution. It's cheaper than some comparably equipped machines and better than some similarly priced ones. That's a recipe for success, even without its frequent availability of discounts or sales. A brighter screen and longer battery life would be nice, but even as is the Legion Pro 5 earns a solid recommendation."
