Choose the Gigabyte A5 if you want to save some money and are fine with a smaller 15.6" screen and a shorter battery life, which makes it better suited for shorter sessions and general use. The Lenovo Legion 5 17", on the other hand, offers a larger 17.3" display which is better for immersive gaming and multitasking, along with a longer battery life that can be beneficial if you're frequently away from power outlets. Both have similar performance, but the Legion might perform slightly better for intensive engineering tasks due to its processor. Keep in mind, the Legion is also heavier, making the A5 more portable. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte A5 and the Lenovo Legion 5 17" have similar screen quality.
For general use, both the Gigabyte A5 and Lenovo Legion 5 17" offer screens with sufficient resolution and brightness, providing clarity and visibility when browsing the web, using office software, or streaming video. For engineering and design, these laptops have commendable color reproduction, which ensures that the colors on your projects are accurate and vibrant, aiding in tasks that require precise color work. However, when it comes to gaming and 3D applications, the lower refresh rates on both models mean less fluid motion and responsiveness, which can be a drawback for fast-paced games or high-speed 3D rendering.

The Gigabyte A5 and Lenovo Legion 5 17" are both good for general use.
The Gigabyte A5 stands out for general use due to its AMD Ryzen CPU and Nvidia RTX GPU paired with ample RAM, making it strong for a variety of tasks on its high-quality IPS screen; however, its portability and battery life are moderate. The Lenovo Legion 5 17", with its robust Intel i7 CPU and similar GPU and RAM, offers a larger screen for an improved viewing experience, but it is heavier and has a shorter battery life, making it less convenient for frequent mobility. How the Gigabyte A5 and the Lenovo Legion 5 17" compare to other laptops
"Ignoring price, the Gigabyte A5 has a hard time against the similarly fast competition. Besides the loud noise in 3D mode (performance mode), the high temperature development of the components should be mentioned on the downside. Despite the relatively thick case, the laptop gets very warm and loud under load, which does not exactly speak for the cooling system. The plastic surfaces look rather cheap and also tend to rattle. In most other disciplines - be it the input devices, the screen, the connectivity or the battery runtime - the Gigabyte laptop does not stand out from the crowd, neither positively nor negatively. However, those who primarily pay attention to the price-performance ratio will get a pretty good offer with the Gigabyte A5."
"The Lenovo Legion 5 17 is a current-gen 17-inch gaming laptop and equipped with the latest AMD CPU and a powerful GPU, that manages to reach its full potential. The AMD Ryzen 5 5600H is a very good choice for this laptop and able to maintain its performance level for long periods of time. Our test model only falls behind consistently in a direct comparison with its competitors that are often equipped with eight cores and 16 threads. Despite this, the Legion 5 17 leaves an excellent impression and is almost able to keep up with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 mobile GPU in synthetic benchmarks."
