The Gigabyte A5 offers a more wallet-friendly option with a decent display, ample performance for general use, and reasonable portability. It's suitable for tasks like gaming, but if you do intensive tasks such as 3D rendering or engineering work, the Gigabyte Aorus 17H could be a better choice due to its higher-performing graphics card and processor. However, it comes at a higher price and is less portable due to its larger size and weight. The Aorus 17H also has a larger screen and significantly better battery capacity, which could be beneficial for extended work sessions without a power source. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aorus 17H and Gigabyte A5 are both good for general use, though the Gigabyte Aorus 17H is somewhat better.
The Gigabyte A5 is suitable for general use because it has sufficient RAM and a capable CPU for everyday tasks, a quality IPS screen, and a balance between portability and battery life. On the other hand, the Gigabyte Aorus 17H, while also good for general use, offers a more powerful CPU, better screen refresh rate, and superior graphics performance, which might be more than necessary for basic tasks but is ideal for more demanding applications, albeit with a tradeoff in portability due to its larger size and weight.

The Gigabyte Aorus 17H is very good for engineering and design, while the Gigabyte A5 is good.
The Gigabyte A5 offers solid performance for engineering and design tasks with its capable processor and graphics card but is more portable compared to the Aorus 17H, which has a much more powerful processor and graphics card for very demanding applications but is heavier and less easy to carry around. Additionally, the Aorus 17H has a larger screen with better color representation and a higher refresh rate, making it more suitable for detailed design work where visual fidelity is crucial, at the expense of being less convenient to move frequently.

The Gigabyte Aorus 17H has a better screen than the Gigabyte A5 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
The Gigabyte A5 likely has a display with solid resolution and brightness which makes it suitable for general tasks such as browsing and video streaming, but its color accuracy might be insufficient for professional design work and its refresh rate too low for smooth gaming experiences. The Aorus 17H, with its higher quality panel, may offer an enhanced visual experience for everyday usage and meets the color precision needed by engineers and designers, but similar to the A5, the lower refresh rate could detract from gaming, particularly in fast-paced 3D environments. For users prioritizing office work or creative projects over gaming, the Aorus 17H offers a more balanced solution.

"Ignoring price, the Gigabyte A5 has a hard time against the similarly fast competition. Besides the loud noise in 3D mode (performance mode), the high temperature development of the components should be mentioned on the downside. Despite the relatively thick case, the laptop gets very warm and loud under load, which does not exactly speak for the cooling system. The plastic surfaces look rather cheap and also tend to rattle. In most other disciplines - be it the input devices, the screen, the connectivity or the battery runtime - the Gigabyte laptop does not stand out from the crowd, neither positively nor negatively. However, those who primarily pay attention to the price-performance ratio will get a pretty good offer with the Gigabyte A5."
"Overall though, it’s *lots of swearing* fast, seriously. For work, rendering, gaming, it doesn’t matter, this is a true weapon of performance that’s going to run rings around most high-end desktop systems. If you absolutely have to game at ultra-high refresh rates on the go (but within thinking distance of a plug socket), this is the ticket. I can’t see such an extreme being that appealing to everyone, but if you take your gaming seriously, or even professionally, there’s nothing else out there that comes close that you can still fit in your backpack and travel with."
