The Gateway 15.6" offers a larger storage capacity and more memory than the MSI GF63 Thin, which can enhance multitasking and data storage capabilities. However, the MSI has a dedicated graphics card which typically provides better performance for gaming and graphics-intensive tasks. The Gateway, being slightly less expensive and equipped with an integrated graphics solution, may be suitable for general use and productivity tasks. On the other hand, the MSI, despite being a bit pricier, would be more appropriate for users inclined towards gaming or requiring better graphics processing power. Additionally, the MSI is lighter, potentially making it more portable. Give Feedback

The Gateway 15.6" is good for general use, while the MSI GF63 Thin is only fair.
The Gateway 15.6" with more RAM and a higher capacity SSD provides smoother multitasking and faster data retrieval for general use, while the MSI GF63 Thin, despite its dedicated GPU, comes with less RAM and a smaller SSD which might slow down intensive multitasking and storage-demanding tasks. Additionally, the Gateway offers better portability and battery life, making it more suitable for on-the-go use compared to the MSI, which, though thinner, has a shorter battery life.

The Gateway 15.6" has a better screen than the MSI GF63 Thin for software development, and content creation.
For general use, the Gateway and MSI laptops have sufficient resolution and brightness, but the panel type might not offer the best viewing angles or color accuracy. During engineering and design tasks, the color representation may lack precision, as these laptops don't cover the wider color gamuts like DCI-P3 or Adobe RGB comprehensively, which are crucial for professional color work. When it comes to 3D applications or gaming, the screen's refresh rate is lower than ideal, leading to less fluid motion, while the resolution and panel type only partially meet the desired experience for these activities.

How the Gateway 15.6" and the MSI GF63 Thin compare to other laptops
"Some concessions have to be made when shopping for a budget laptop. Walmart's Gateway Ultra Slim laptops succeeds on the affordability front and delivers serviceable specs and good battery life, though it's hard to claim it's the best (or even particularly good) at any particular aspect. Its build quality, especially the touchpad, is mediocre, and its performance is decent but doesn't lead the way. The Gateway does undercut the cost of some competitors and offers ample storage with good connectivity, so it's not to be ignored."
"If you leave aside the meagre port selection (no card reader, no DisplayPort, no Thunderbolt 3 or USB 3.1 Gen2), the fan control that could be improved (idle mode!) and the relatively dark and slow display, the MSI GF63 Thin 9SC does not have any major weaknesses. The 15-inch gamer is compact, has a low weight and offers a good price-to-performance ratio, which should please gamers that are looking for both a portable and an affordable gaming notebook. Input devices, battery life, case quality and performance are all appropriate for this purchase price."
