If price is a major concern and you're looking for a laptop primarily for everyday tasks like browsing, document editing, and media consumption, the HP 250 G10 may suffice and save you money. However, if your work involves more demanding applications, such as video editing, 3D modeling or software development, and you need improved performance and possibly a higher quality display, investing more in the Gateway 15.6" can be beneficial despite the higher cost. Always consider portability; if you're frequently on the move, a lighter and more compact laptop is preferable. Battery life is another crucial factor; a laptop that can last longer on a single charge adds convenience for travel and work on the go. It's also worth considering the build quality, warranty, and customer support from the brands, as these can significantly impact your experience over time. Give Feedback

The Gateway 15.6" has a better screen than the HP 250 G10 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
For general use, screen clarity and comfort are key, so the Gateway's fair screen quality, with its adequate resolution and brightness, provides a better experience compared to the HP's poorer display which may appear dimmer and less sharp. In engineering and design, accurate color representation is critical; the Gateway's fair color gamut coverage allows for more precise work than the HP, although professionals might find neither ideal. When it comes to gaming and 3D applications, the Gateway falls short with its low refresh rate, making fast-paced visuals less smooth, but the HP's similar limitations mean it's also not well-suited for these demands.

How the Gateway 15.6" and the HP 250 G10 compare to other laptops
"Some concessions have to be made when shopping for a budget laptop. Walmart's Gateway Ultra Slim laptops succeeds on the affordability front and delivers serviceable specs and good battery life, though it's hard to claim it's the best (or even particularly good) at any particular aspect. Its build quality, especially the touchpad, is mediocre, and its performance is decent but doesn't lead the way. The Gateway does undercut the cost of some competitors and offers ample storage with good connectivity, so it's not to be ignored."
"The HP 250 G10 is a decent budget device that surprises us with its high CPU frequencies under load. Still, our configuration has a Core i5-1335U which doesn’t require significant cooling, if choose a 28W P-series processor, maybe the situation with the clocks could be different. If you want to play some casual game after work, a memory in dual-channel is a must because it increases greatly the iGPU performance."
