If portability is a priority and you engage in general use tasks, the Framework Laptop 13 is lightweight and has a high-res 3:2 screen well-suited for productivity, though it has modest performance and a shorter battery life. The Lenovo Legion Slim 7, while heavier and less portable, offers a larger high-refresh 16:10 display and superior performance for 3D rendering, machine learning, and intensive gaming due to its dedicated graphics, but you'll be paying more for these capabilities. Both laptops are current models with midrange prices; your decision should weigh the need for portability against performance requirements. Give Feedback

The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16" is very good for general use, while the Framework Laptop 13 (2023) is good.
The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16" outshines the Framework Laptop 13 (2023) in general use because it has a more powerful CPU, double the RAM for better multitasking, and a higher quality, larger screen, while the Framework Laptop wins in portability and comparable screen quality on a smaller display, making it easier to carry around. However, the Lenovo's superior battery capacity promises more longevity away from a power source, despite its larger size and slightly lower portability.

The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16" is very good for gaming and AI, while the Framework Laptop 13 (2023) is only fair.
The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16" offers superior gaming and 3D capabilities mainly because it is equipped with a powerful Nvidia RTX graphics card and has a high screen refresh rate, which is crucial for smooth visuals during fast-paced gaming. In contrast, the Framework Laptop 13 (2023)'s integrated graphics are less suited to demanding games and its lower refresh rate won't be as smooth for gaming or high-motion 3D applications.

The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 has a better screen than the Framework Laptop 13 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
For general use, the Framework Laptop offers a decent balance between resolution and brightness which makes it suitable for everyday tasks, while the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 offers a higher resolution and better brightness enhancing overall viewing. When it comes to engineering and design, the Lenovo has superior color coverage that is critical for precision work, though the Framework also has acceptable color accuracy for most design tasks. However, for gaming and 3D applications, both laptops fall short due to their lower refresh rates which are not ideal for the fast-paced visuals and smoothness expected in this category.

How the Framework Laptop 13 (2023) and the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 16" compare to other laptops
"If you’re thinking of investing in your first Framework, now is the time. The kinks and rough edges have all been smoothed out and this is a very nice machine with a bright, upgradable future. The only reason I can think of to wait is the AMD model, which I’ll be sure to test as soon as I can get my hands on one."
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is a slim Legion notebook that is just as excellent with Nvidia & Intel. However, the Legion Slim 7i slightly sullied by lacklustre battery life. You get a slim aluminium chassis, great input devices, decent port selection, fast high-quality WQXGA display and great performance. Supporting Thunderbolt 4 is one advantage of the Intel/Nvidia model tested in this review. Moreover, this variant has slightly higher CPU performance as well as better GPU performance in certain applications (e.g. CUDA-based apps). The Lenovo Legion S7i is thin, premium and performant – but less efficient than its AMD counterpart."
