The Dell XPS 13 Plus offers a balance of higher portability and robust performance with a premium OLED display, suitable for productivity and media consumption; it's more expensive, but compensates with a leaner form factor making it ideal for travel. The MSI Prestige 16 AI Evo, while slightly larger and heavier, provides doubled storage space and potentially better graphics performance with its dedicated GPU, making it a good fit for tasks like video editing and light gaming. Balancing these factors, if your work involves more graphics-intensive applications and storage is a priority, the MSI could be the better value, otherwise, the sleekness and portability of the Dell might appeal more to those prioritizing a lightweight machine for general use and media viewing. How the Dell XPS 13 Plus and the MSI Prestige 16 AI Evo compare to other laptops
"The XPS 13 Plus is powerful, but has its drawbacks. Dell did not only update the processor generation, but also decided to offer two completely different models from now on. The XPS 13 Plus gets the faster Intel Alder Lake-P chips, and the Core i7-1260P in our review unit offers good performance figures. However, the device once again shows the problems of the current Intel CPUs, because the high performance requires a lot of power. This affects the battery runtime as well as temperatures, so the new model (even with the Optimized power profile) is louder than the older model."
"The MSI Prestige 16 AI Evo is meant to be a business-focused laptop, but it ends up being the MacBook challenger PC laptop enthusiasts have longed for. Not only can it meet and, in many cases, surpass the M2-powered MacBooks, but it is also surpassing the baseline M3 MacBooks, which is a giant leap forward for Intel-powered laptops. This isn’t hyperbole; this is what the numbers show."
