The Dell XPS 13 Plus is pricier but offers a higher resolution OLED touchscreen and is more portable with less weight. It has more RAM and is great for general use with a better battery life. However, the Lenovo Slim 7 16, while less expensive, has a larger screen with a high refresh rate IPS display that is better for fast motion and gaming due to its dedicated Nvidia GPU. The Lenovo also has a GPU suitable for 3D tasks and engineering, but it is heavier and thus less portable than the Dell. Both have the same storage capacity and no number pad on the keyboard. How the Dell XPS 13 Plus and the Lenovo Slim 7 16 compare to other laptops
"The XPS 13 Plus is powerful, but has its drawbacks. Dell did not only update the processor generation, but also decided to offer two completely different models from now on. The XPS 13 Plus gets the faster Intel Alder Lake-P chips, and the Core i7-1260P in our review unit offers good performance figures. However, the device once again shows the problems of the current Intel CPUs, because the high performance requires a lot of power. This affects the battery runtime as well as temperatures, so the new model (even with the Optimized power profile) is louder than the older model."
"At $1,011, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7 Pro is a real bargain among full-sized laptops, with a handsome 16-inch, 16:10 aspect ratio touch screen, a speedy CPU, a comfortable keyboard, ample memory, and a roomy solid-state drive. It's not a blazing gaming rig or mobile workstation, but it doesn't pretend to be. Its biggest negative is that it may be hard to find—during our review, it sold out and was marked "Temporarily Unavailable" on Lenovo's site."
