If you value high performance for 3D rendering, machine learning tasks, or gaming, the Lenovo Legion 9i stands out, especially with its dedicated graphics card. However, it's bulkier and has a much heavier design, which affects portability. On the other hand, the Dell XPS 13 Plus is more suitable for general use and is more portable with longer battery life, but it might not handle intensive tasks as smoothly as the Legion 9i due to its integrated graphics. The Dell is often less expensive, so if budget and portability are primary concerns, it may be the more appropriate choice. Give Feedback

The Lenovo Legion 9i has a better screen than the Dell XPS 13 Plus for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and software development.
For general use, the Dell XPS 13 Plus offers a vibrant display with high resolution and notable brightness, making it pleasant for everyday tasks like browsing and streaming, while the Lenovo Legion 9i edges ahead with a display that likely offers these features at even higher clarity or brightness. When it comes to engineering and design, both screens have high resolution, but the Legion 9i may provide wider color gamuts, crucial for accuracy in color-intensive tasks. However, for gaming and 3D applications, both laptops fall short due to lower refresh rates, which limits the smoothness of movement and responsiveness critical in these areas.

How the Dell XPS 13 Plus and the Lenovo Legion 9i compare to other laptops
"The XPS 13 Plus is powerful, but has its drawbacks. Dell did not only update the processor generation, but also decided to offer two completely different models from now on. The XPS 13 Plus gets the faster Intel Alder Lake-P chips, and the Core i7-1260P in our review unit offers good performance figures. However, the device once again shows the problems of the current Intel CPUs, because the high performance requires a lot of power. This affects the battery runtime as well as temperatures, so the new model (even with the Optimized power profile) is louder than the older model."
"The Lenovo Legion 9i is meant as a top-end flagship showcase for enthusiasts, and on that, it delivers. You'll find flashier designs in this price tier—Razer’s all-metal build in a similarly sized laptop like the Blade 16, or monstrous 18-inch machines—but this is a well-thought-out laptop. The chassis is trim for a 16-inch powerhouse, the lid is unique, and bespoke liquid cooling takes performance to the next level."
