When choosing between the Dell XPS 13 Plus and the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro, consider the following: The Dell is more expensive, offers better performance for engineering and general use, and has a higher-quality OLED screen suitable for intensive color work. However, it's heavier and has a shorter battery life. In contrast, the Lenovo is more affordable, slightly lighter, and has a longer battery life, but it has an IPS screen with a lower refresh rate and is less powerful, making it more suitable for general use than demanding tasks. How the Dell XPS 13 Plus and the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro compare to other laptops
"The XPS 13 Plus is powerful, but has its drawbacks. Dell did not only update the processor generation, but also decided to offer two completely different models from now on. The XPS 13 Plus gets the faster Intel Alder Lake-P chips, and the Core i7-1260P in our review unit offers good performance figures. However, the device once again shows the problems of the current Intel CPUs, because the high performance requires a lot of power. This affects the battery runtime as well as temperatures, so the new model (even with the Optimized power profile) is louder than the older model."
"The main selling point of the IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro versus a regular IdeaPad Slim 7 is its faster Core H-series CPU. In reality, the Core i7-11370H is only marginally faster than the U-series Core i7-1165G7 to the point where most users are not likely to notice the benefits. The slight performance uptick comes at the cost of slightly higher power consumption as well meaning owners will have to deal with potentially warmer temperatures or louder fans to compensate. Unless if you happen to be a power user, then the regular non-Pro model will be more than enough. Once you go 90 Hz, you can't go back."
