The Dell XPS 13 Plus is an upper midrange laptop with a high-resolution OLED touchscreen that offers vibrant colors and sharp images, making it suitable for general use and design-oriented tasks. It has plenty of RAM for multitasking, a solid-state drive for fast storage, and is powered by an Intel i7 processor with adequate integrated graphics for everyday tasks. This model is highly portable due to its light weight and compact design, and it offers a decent battery life for typical usage.
The Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i is a more affordable option with a larger screen but lower resolution than the Dell. It houses a powerful Intel i7 processor and a dedicated Nvidia RTX graphics card, which make it more suitable for 3D rendering, machine learning tasks, and even gaming. It has less RAM than the Dell, which could limit multitasking capabilities. The IdeaPad Pro has a longer battery life, but it's also heavier, which compromises its portability.
Choose the Dell XPS 13 Plus if you prioritize a high-quality display, portability, and a machine optimized for general and design work. Opt for the Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i for more power-intensive tasks like 3D rendering or gaming, but keep in mind it's less portable and has a lower screen resolution. Give Feedback

The Dell XPS 13 Plus has a better screen than the Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i for general use, engineering and design, software development, and content creation.
The Dell XPS 13 Plus boasts a display with high resolution and brightness, enhancing its appeal for general use and tasks that require accurate color representation, such as engineering and design, where its wide color gamuts are beneficial. However, its lower refresh rate lessens its appeal for gaming and 3D applications where a smoother visual experience is crucial. On the other hand, the Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i, while still offering a very good display for everyday tasks and adequate color spaces for professional work, falls behind in gaming and 3D fields due to a similarly limited refresh rate.

How the Dell XPS 13 Plus and the Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i compare to other laptops
"The XPS 13 Plus is powerful, but has its drawbacks. Dell did not only update the processor generation, but also decided to offer two completely different models from now on. The XPS 13 Plus gets the faster Intel Alder Lake-P chips, and the Core i7-1260P in our review unit offers good performance figures. However, the device once again shows the problems of the current Intel CPUs, because the high performance requires a lot of power. This affects the battery runtime as well as temperatures, so the new model (even with the Optimized power profile) is louder than the older model."
"Lenovo’s IdeaPad Pro 5i represents an impressive opening salvo for Meteor Lake in the ultraportable space against familiar foes from AMD and Apple. Not only does the Core Ultra 5 125H processor provide good performance across the board, but battery life remains a strong point against the Acer Swift Edge 16 with its AMD Ryzen 7 7840U processor. It can’t quite match the endurance of the 15-inch MacBook Pro, but the gap is shrinking."
