The Dell XPS 13 Plus is more expensive, but offers a higher resolution OLED touchscreen, a larger battery, and superior portability due to its smaller size and much lighter weight. It has excellent color coverage, making it suitable for tasks that require color accuracy. The HP Omen 17 is less expensive with a lower resolution IPS screen and no touchscreen, but has a more powerful graphics card, making it better for gaming, 3D rendering, and machine learning. It's heavier and less portable, but includes an Ethernet port for wired network connections and more display outputs. The Dell is optimal for general use and tasks requiring color accuracy and portability, while the HP is tailored for performance-intensive tasks and gaming. Give Feedback

The Dell XPS 13 Plus has a better screen than the HP Omen 17 for general use, engineering and design, software development, and content creation, while the HP Omen 17 has a better screen for gaming and AI.
If you prioritize a vibrant and sharp display for tasks like browsing, watching videos, and document editing, the Dell XPS 13 Plus offers a high-resolution, bright screen well-suited for these needs. For engineering and design work where accurate color reproduction is crucial, the Dell XPS 13 Plus excels due to its wide color coverage. However, if you're into fast-paced gaming or 3D rendering, the HP Omen 17 may be less appealing as its lower refresh rate doesn't match the smoother visuals of displays designed specifically for those activities.

How the Dell XPS 13 Plus and the HP Omen 17 compare to other laptops
"The XPS 13 Plus is powerful, but has its drawbacks. Dell did not only update the processor generation, but also decided to offer two completely different models from now on. The XPS 13 Plus gets the faster Intel Alder Lake-P chips, and the Core i7-1260P in our review unit offers good performance figures. However, the device once again shows the problems of the current Intel CPUs, because the high performance requires a lot of power. This affects the battery runtime as well as temperatures, so the new model (even with the Optimized power profile) is louder than the older model."
"The HP Omen 17 (2022) gaming laptop has a stylish case and hardware with lots of potential. The HP Omen 17 is a fairly unobtrusive gaming laptop. A material combination of plastic and metal gives the case a high stability and a quality surface feel. The unspectacular design is pleasing and is hardly indicative of the laptop's high performance potential. The Intel Core i7-12700H in particular is able to perform well once again. The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti is also strong in the gaming notebook. Demanding games run smoothly in Full HD resolution. The HP Omen 17 is a good gaming laptop that delivers partly excellent performance. But even at this performance level, cheaper alternatives are available."
