The Dell XPS 13 Plus is pricier but offers higher performance for general use with a premium build and an OLED display that's superior for colors and clarity, making it suitable for professional work involving visuals. It's also lighter and more portable with a smaller screen, providing better battery life, making it ideal for travel or on-the-go use. In contrast, the Gigabyte Aorus 7 costs less and has a large screen with a high refresh rate, dedicated graphics for gaming, 3D work, or machine learning, but it's heavier with lower battery life, suited for users who need more power and don't mind the reduced portability. The Dell XPS 13 Plus is very good for general use, while the Gigabyte Aorus 7 is good.
The Dell XPS 13 Plus stands out for general use with its higher RAM, more advanced CPU for better multitasking and processing power, and superior OLED display yielding higher resolution and screen quality; however, it’s less portable due to a smaller battery and weight advantage. In contrast, the Gigabyte Aorus 7, while amply suited for general tasks with a capable CPU and sufficient RAM, offers an extended battery life and a larger but lower-resolution screen, trading off the ease of transport and premium display quality for a more sustained usage and visual real estate.

How the Dell XPS 13 Plus and the Gigabyte Aorus 7 compare to other laptops
"The XPS 13 Plus is powerful, but has its drawbacks. Dell did not only update the processor generation, but also decided to offer two completely different models from now on. The XPS 13 Plus gets the faster Intel Alder Lake-P chips, and the Core i7-1260P in our review unit offers good performance figures. However, the device once again shows the problems of the current Intel CPUs, because the high performance requires a lot of power. This affects the battery runtime as well as temperatures, so the new model (even with the Optimized power profile) is louder than the older model."
"The Gigabyte Aorus 7 is a gaming laptop that is pitched at perhaps the hardest market to get right: the mid-range. So, unlike high-end gaming laptops that can throw the latest and greatest components together in a bid to attract gamers with plenty of money to spend, or budget gaming laptops that can make wise cuts that are justified as long as the price is low enough, mid-rangers like the Gigabyte Aorus 7 have to balance the two."
