The Dell XPS 13 Plus is more portable and offers a higher resolution OLED touchscreen, making it ideal for general use and ensuring crisp visuals and vibrant colors. It tends to be better for travel with its lighter weight and longer battery life. The Gigabyte Aorus 17, on the other hand, has a larger screen and a dedicated graphics card which is better suited for gaming, 3D rendering, and engineering software. It has a significantly more powerful GPU and a higher refresh rate screen for smoother visuals, but it is heavier and has a shorter battery life, making it less portable. If you prioritize mobility and battery life, opt for the Dell, but if you require higher graphical performance for intensive tasks, choose the Gigabyte. Both are similarly priced, so your choice should hinge on these functional tradeoffs. Give Feedback

The Dell XPS 13 Plus is very good for general use, while the Gigabyte Aorus 17 is good.
The Dell XPS 13 Plus, with its high-resolution OLED touchscreen, more RAM, and lightweight design, offers an excellent combination of screen quality and portability, making it very good for general use, although it has lesser storage capacity. The Gigabyte Aorus 17, while it provides more storage and a dedicated GPU for better performance in more intensive tasks, its heavier weight and larger size tradeoff portability and battery life, yet it remains good for general use and suitable for gaming.

The Gigabyte Aorus 17 is very good for gaming and AI, while the Dell XPS 13 Plus is only fair.
The Dell XPS 13 Plus, featuring an integrated Intel GPU, is less suited for gaming and 3D applications than the Gigabyte Aorus 17 which includes a dedicated Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti GPU, renowned for superior performance in these areas. Moreover, the XPS's screen refresh rate is standard, whereas the Aorus 17 likely offers a higher refresh rate conducive to smoother gameplay and better 3D experience.

The Dell XPS 13 Plus has a better screen than the Gigabyte Aorus 17 for general use, engineering and design, software development, and content creation, while the Gigabyte Aorus 17 has a better screen for gaming and AI.
The Dell XPS 13 Plus is favored by general users and engineers for its high resolution and color accuracy, which makes for crisp text and vibrant images that are crucial for design work. However, its lower refresh rate is less suitable for gaming and 3D applications where smooth motion is key. On the other hand, the Gigabyte Aorus 17 offers a decent balance for both general and engineering tasks, but like the Dell, it falls short for gaming and 3D due to its suboptimal refresh rate.

How the Dell XPS 13 Plus and the Gigabyte Aorus 17 compare to other laptops
"The XPS 13 Plus is powerful, but has its drawbacks. Dell did not only update the processor generation, but also decided to offer two completely different models from now on. The XPS 13 Plus gets the faster Intel Alder Lake-P chips, and the Core i7-1260P in our review unit offers good performance figures. However, the device once again shows the problems of the current Intel CPUs, because the high performance requires a lot of power. This affects the battery runtime as well as temperatures, so the new model (even with the Optimized power profile) is louder than the older model."
"The Gigabyte Aorus 17 is a powerful high-end gaming machine. The Aorus 17 is a potent gaming notebook in a 17.3-inch format designed for FHD gaming at maximum settings. A Core i7-12700H processor and GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU make this possible. A lightning-fast PCIe 4 SSD (1 TB) provides the necessary storage space and ensures short loading times. With the Aorus 17 XE4, Gigabyte delivers a well-rounded, high-performance gaming notebook."
