If you prioritize high performance for gaming or resource-intensive tasks such as 3D modeling or machine learning, the Razer Blade 15 is likely a better fit, thanks to its higher-end graphics card. However, it's heavier and has a shorter battery life, which may impact its portability and convenience for on-the-go use. On the other hand, the Dell Precision 5470 offers solid performance for engineering and general use, with a longer battery life, making it more appealing if you need a balance between power and portability. Each has a high-quality build and keyboard, but only the Dell Precision is marketed as a premium business laptop. Both are similarly priced, so your choice should be based on whether you want the Dell's business focus and battery life or the Razer's superior performance and gaming orientation. Give Feedback

The Razer Blade 15 is very good for engineering and design, while the Dell Precision 5470 is good.
The Razer Blade 15 is rated higher for engineering and design primarily due to a more powerful GPU—the Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti—and a higher resolution screen delivering sharper images and more vivid colors, which are crucial for design work. In comparison, the Dell Precision 5470 offers solid performance with an Nvidia RTX A1000 GPU and a decent screen but falls short in raw graphics power and display quality, factors that are very important for such tasks.

The Razer Blade 15 has a better screen than the Dell Precision 5470 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and software development.
For general use, the Dell Precision 5470's screen offers clear visuals and comfortable brightness, while the higher resolution of the Razer Blade 15 provides an even sharper image. Both the Dell and Razer laptops have screens that display colors accurately, crucial for tasks in engineering and design, but the Razer slightly edges out with a wider color spectrum coverage. However, the refresh rate, which is key for smooth visuals in 3D applications and gaming, isn't a strong suit for either of these laptops, as both prioritize resolution and color accuracy over high refresh rates.

How the Dell Precision 5470 and the Razer Blade 15 compare to other laptops
"The Dell Precision 5470 is a mobile workstation that's far more portable than most alternatives. Between its slim 14-inch design and top-quality MIL-STD 810H build, it's one of the best options around for taking professional-grade performance on the road or to the job site. There are tradeoffs for its portability, and users of the most demanding, graphics-intensive applications will need to carry something heavier. But the Dell's exceptional battery life underscores its desirability as the most portable workstation we've seen."
"The 2022 Blade 15 offers roughly 15 to 25 percent faster graphics performance and 20 percent faster CPU performance over last year's Core i7-11800H and RTX 3080 model. Thankfully, the system doesn't need to run noticeably louder or warmer to achieve faster results, but both power consumption and battery life take a hit. The higher consumption in particular appears to be a trend amongst many 12th gen Core laptops including the Schenker Uniwill Technology GM7AG8P or MSI Vector GP66 when compared to their previous generation counterparts. We're also glad to not see below-average CPU performance which was the case for the 10th gen Core i7-10875H model."
