The Dell Precision 5470 and Lenovo Legion 5 15" cater to different needs. If you require a powerful, more portable machine for professional engineering or creative work and are willing to pay more, the Dell Precision 5470, with its specialized hardware, would be suitable. However, if you're looking for a laptop primarily for gaming or general use with a good balance of performance and a lower price, the Lenovo Legion 5 15" with its gaming-focused graphics card offers better value. The Dell offers a smaller, lighter form factor, which may be a bonus for mobility, whereas the Lenovo provides a larger screen and is designed for gaming performance but is heavier and bulkier. Keep in mind the battery life as well, which usually fares better on workstations like the Dell in comparison to gaming laptops which may consume more power. Give Feedback

How the Dell Precision 5470 and the Lenovo Legion 5 15" compare to other laptops
"The Dell Precision 5470 is a mobile workstation that's far more portable than most alternatives. Between its slim 14-inch design and top-quality MIL-STD 810H build, it's one of the best options around for taking professional-grade performance on the road or to the job site. There are tradeoffs for its portability, and users of the most demanding, graphics-intensive applications will need to carry something heavier. But the Dell's exceptional battery life underscores its desirability as the most portable workstation we've seen."
"The Lenovo Legion 5 15 is an affordable gaming laptop with a lot of power. The new AMD processor Ryzen 7 5800H offers plenty of performance and it is also very efficient. The combination with the fast 130W version of the GeForce RTX 3060 ensures high gaming performance. We also like the fast 165 Hz display with the 1080p resolution. The automatic graphics switching causes some problems with stutters, which are very annoying. If you do not need long battery runtimes, you should definitely deactivate the hybrid graphics mode in Lenovo's Vantage app. The Legion 5 15 is never silent."
