The Dell Precision 5470 is the more expensive option but offers superior build quality, has a more color-accurate screen, and is lighter, making it easier to carry around. It is designed for premium business use and includes features like facial recognition and fingerprint reader for added security. On the other hand, the Gigabyte A5 offers a larger screen and stronger GPU performance, which makes it better suited for gaming and 3D tasks, but it is heavier and has a shorter battery life. Your choice should depend on whether you prioritize portability and business features, or gaming and media performance at a lower cost. Give Feedback

For general use, the Dell Precision 5470 and Gigabyte A5 both offer screens with satisfactory resolution and brightness, making them suitable for everyday activities like browsing and document editing. Both laptops have displays with wide color gamuts, ensuring accuracy in color-critical tasks like engineering and design; however, neither is tailored for gaming or 3D applications, as they lack high refresh rates that provide smooth visuals in fast-paced scenarios. These laptops are therefore better suited for professionals in creative fields rather than gamers or those heavily involved in 3D modeling and animation.

How the Dell Precision 5470 and the Gigabyte A5 compare to other laptops
"The Dell Precision 5470 is a mobile workstation that's far more portable than most alternatives. Between its slim 14-inch design and top-quality MIL-STD 810H build, it's one of the best options around for taking professional-grade performance on the road or to the job site. There are tradeoffs for its portability, and users of the most demanding, graphics-intensive applications will need to carry something heavier. But the Dell's exceptional battery life underscores its desirability as the most portable workstation we've seen."
"Ignoring price, the Gigabyte A5 has a hard time against the similarly fast competition. Besides the loud noise in 3D mode (performance mode), the high temperature development of the components should be mentioned on the downside. Despite the relatively thick case, the laptop gets very warm and loud under load, which does not exactly speak for the cooling system. The plastic surfaces look rather cheap and also tend to rattle. In most other disciplines - be it the input devices, the screen, the connectivity or the battery runtime - the Gigabyte laptop does not stand out from the crowd, neither positively nor negatively. However, those who primarily pay attention to the price-performance ratio will get a pretty good offer with the Gigabyte A5."
