The Dell Latitude 14 7490 is an economical choice that offers reliable performance and is sufficient for general use with its decent processor and graphics. It is lighter and offers better battery life, which makes it more portable, an important factor if you travel frequently or work on the go. In contrast, the Razer Blade 14 is pricier but significantly more powerful, especially for 3D tasks, machine learning, and gaming, due to its advanced processor and dedicated graphics. However, this power comes at the expense of portability as it's heavier and has lower battery life compared to the Dell. If you prioritize performance for demanding tasks and can accommodate a higher price, the Razer Blade 14 stands out. If budget constraints and portability are key concerns, the Dell Latitude 14 7490 is a capable choice. Give Feedback

LaptopMag

Henry T. Casey | April 2018
"The Dell Latitude 7490's got the speed you need (and then some), a keyboard that's comfortable enough for writing all day long and a battery that supports a full 8-hour workday. If only the display were brighter and it managed heat better. If you need every minute of battery life you can get, the extended-battery version of the Lenovo ThinkPad T480 lasts 8 hours longer than the Latitude 7490, but its display is much less colorful."

NotebookCheck

Allen Ngo | May 2022
"After making a huge splash with the original 2021 model, it's expected that the 2022 refresh would be more of a minor update to an already impressive machine. It adds a higher resolution webcam (720p to 1080p), faster CPU (Ryzen 9 5900HX to Ryzen 9 6900HX), faster GPU (RTX 3070/3080 to 3070/3080 Ti), faster RAM (DDR4-3200 to DDR5-4800), faster M.2 SSD support (PCIe3 x4 to PCIe4 x4), newer WLAN module (Killer AX1690i to Qualcomm WCN685x), and a MUX switch for the new integrated Radeon 680M GPU. It's indubitably an upgrade especially in terms of single-thread processor performance."
