The Dell Latitude 14 7490 is a budget-friendly choice that weighs less, making it more portable, with adequate performance for general use like web browsing, office work, and streaming. The battery life is good and should last through a workday. In contrast, the MSI Raider GE67Hx is much more expensive but comes with a powerful processor and high-end graphics, suitable for intensive tasks such as gaming, 3D modeling, and machine learning. The MSI has a higher resolution and faster screen refresh rate but will be heavier and likely have shorter battery life, especially when performing demanding tasks. If budget is a concern and your usage is mainly for everyday tasks, the Dell could be a more practical choice; however, if performance in gaming or professional applications is a priority and you're okay with a heavier laptop with potentially shorter battery life, the MSI could be the way to go. Henry T. Casey | April 2018
"The Dell Latitude 7490's got the speed you need (and then some), a keyboard that's comfortable enough for writing all day long and a battery that supports a full 8-hour workday. If only the display were brighter and it managed heat better. If you need every minute of battery life you can get, the extended-battery version of the Lenovo ThinkPad T480 lasts 8 hours longer than the Latitude 7490, but its display is much less colorful."

Francisco Lahoz | October 2022
"If you've wanted to dip your toes into PC gaming but can't let go of your console roots, the MSI Raider GE67 HX stakes out an attractive middle ground between the speed and versatility of PC gaming and the comfort and ease of a console. If you can overlook its noisy fans and chintzy touchpad, the Raider provides a powerhouse entertainment experience with an OLED screen that tops most household TVs. It's not cheap, but this gaming machine is more than the sum of its parts."
