The Dell Latitude 14 7490, while less expensive, is more suited for general business use with its ample battery life and portability, especially if you often carry your laptop on the go. It offers sufficient performance for everyday tasks and office work. On the other hand, the Lenovo Legion 5 15" is typically pricier and tailored more towards gaming and performance-intensive tasks like 3D rendering and machine learning, with a more powerful graphics card and processor. It is heavier, which may affect portability, but for performance-centric use, it would be a superior option. However, consider the tradeoff between the increased performance and the additional cost when making your choice. Give Feedback

How the Dell Latitude 14 7490 and the Lenovo Legion 5 15" compare to other laptops
"The Dell Latitude 7490's got the speed you need (and then some), a keyboard that's comfortable enough for writing all day long and a battery that supports a full 8-hour workday. If only the display were brighter and it managed heat better. If you need every minute of battery life you can get, the extended-battery version of the Lenovo ThinkPad T480 lasts 8 hours longer than the Latitude 7490, but its display is much less colorful."
"The Lenovo Legion 5 15 is an affordable gaming laptop with a lot of power. The new AMD processor Ryzen 7 5800H offers plenty of performance and it is also very efficient. The combination with the fast 130W version of the GeForce RTX 3060 ensures high gaming performance. We also like the fast 165 Hz display with the 1080p resolution. The automatic graphics switching causes some problems with stutters, which are very annoying. If you do not need long battery runtimes, you should definitely deactivate the hybrid graphics mode in Lenovo's Vantage app. The Legion 5 15 is never silent."
