The Dell Latitude 5530, priced a bit higher, offers good battery life, is lighter in weight, and is highly suitable for general use, thanks to its efficient heat management and quiet operation. With an Intel i5 processor and integrated graphics, it's well-suited for business tasks but less so for 3D rendering or intensive engineering software. Alternatively, the Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i, slightly cheaper, has double the storage, a higher-resolution display, and a more powerful Intel i7 processor with Nvidia graphics, making it better for gaming, 3D work, and engineering applications, but it has less battery life and is heavier, which impacts portability. Both have 16 GB of RAM and a good build quality, but for intensive tasks beyond general use, the Lenovo is the stronger choice. Give Feedback

Tom's Hardware

Brandon Hill | January 2024
"Lenovo’s IdeaPad Pro 5i represents an impressive opening salvo for Meteor Lake in the ultraportable space against familiar foes from AMD and Apple. Not only does the Core Ultra 5 125H processor provide good performance across the board, but battery life remains a strong point against the Acer Swift Edge 16 with its AMD Ryzen 7 7840U processor. It can’t quite match the endurance of the 15-inch MacBook Pro, but the gap is shrinking."
