If you prioritize a larger screen for easier multitasking and consumption of media, choose the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17". It also has a larger storage capacity, which is suitable for users with substantial data storage needs. However, the Dell Latitude 5431, despite its higher cost, offers better performance for tasks like intensive engineering thanks to a more powerful processor and greater memory. The Dell model is also more portable due to its smaller size and lower weight, which may benefit those who frequently travel or commute with their laptop. Both have comparable battery life and neither is ideal for intensive gaming. Give Feedback

The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" has a better screen than the Dell Latitude 5431 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
The Dell Latitude 5431 has fair screen quality for general use due to its acceptable resolution and brightness but lacks the superior panel technology that would make it stand out. For engineering and design purposes, its color accuracy may fall short as it might not cover a wide range of the DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB color spectrums. In contrast, the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" offers good screen quality with better resolution and brightness for general tasks and likely boasts improved color gamut coverage beneficial for engineering and design, but both laptops' screens are not suited for high-refresh-rate demands of Gaming and 3D applications.

How the Dell Latitude 5431 and the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" defies expectations. Indeed, it is just a minor upgrade over last year. However, this doesn’t make the laptop any less terrific. It’s got a great performance, courtesy of the Ryzen 5x25U processors. In addition, you get a pretty good battery life. Perhaps, the 2-hour decrease in video playback, compared to last year is not great, but still, 10 hours of Web browsing and 7 hours of video playback is okay for 17-inch notebooks."
