If you prioritize high performance for tasks like 3D rendering, machine learning, or engineering, the Dell Latitude 5330 with its more powerful processor and larger RAM could serve you better, though it's priced higher than the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17". On the other hand, if you're looking for a budget-friendly option with a larger screen for general use, the Lenovo might be more appealing despite its lower performance capacity. The Dell's portability is also superior due to its smaller size and lighter weight, making it more suitable for frequent travel. In contrast, the Lenovo's battery life and portability are less impressive due to its larger 17-inch screen. Both laptops are not suited for intensive gaming, but the Dell offers a backlit keyboard and a higher build quality, which might be beneficial for long hours of work. Give Feedback

The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" has a better screen than the Dell Latitude 5330 for general use, and engineering and design.
When considering the Dell Latitude 5330 and Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" for general use, factors such as panel type, resolution, and brightness significantly affect the perceived screen quality; the IdeaPad may offer higher resolution and better brightness, thus providing a clearer and more vibrant display. For engineering and design, the ability to accurately represent colors is critical, and the IdeaPad may cover a wider range of color gamuts like DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB, offering more precise color reproduction necessary for such tasks. Meanwhile, for 3D applications and gaming, while both laptops have poor refresh rates limiting smooth motion, the IdeaPad may still edge out with its modestly better resolution and panel type contributing to a more detailed and immersive experience despite the limitation.

How the Dell Latitude 5330 and the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" defies expectations. Indeed, it is just a minor upgrade over last year. However, this doesn’t make the laptop any less terrific. It’s got a great performance, courtesy of the Ryzen 5x25U processors. In addition, you get a pretty good battery life. Perhaps, the 2-hour decrease in video playback, compared to last year is not great, but still, 10 hours of Web browsing and 7 hours of video playback is okay for 17-inch notebooks."
