The Dell Inspiron 16 5635 suits someone looking for a more affordable, portable laptop with a longer battery life for general use. The incorporation of AMD components provides solid performance for everyday tasks. Conversely, the MSI Raider GE76 is for those who need top-tier performance for gaming, 3D rendering, machine learning, and engineering. Although it comes at a higher cost and decreased portability, its advanced Intel and Nvidia specs, including ray tracing and higher screen refresh rate, cater to high-end computing demands. The MSI Raider GE76 is very good for gaming and AI, while the Dell Inspiron 16 5635 is only fair.
The Dell Inspiron 16 5635 has an adequate integrated GPU for gaming and 3D tasks and a standard screen refresh rate, which may not provide the smoothest gaming experience. In contrast, the MSI Raider GE76 features a high-end dedicated Nvidia GPU and a much higher screen refresh rate, offering superior performance and fluidity for gaming and 3D applications.

The MSI Raider GE76 is excellent for engineering and design, while the Dell Inspiron 16 5635 is good.
The Dell Inspiron 16 5635 is good for engineering and design due to its solid CPU and sufficient RAM for many tasks, but the MSI Raider GE76 is excellent for such uses because it not only has a more powerful CPU and double the RAM, but also a high-end GPU that excels in demanding applications and a higher quality screen. The MSI Raider GE76's tradeoff, however, is its heavier weight and larger size, making it less portable than the lightweight Dell Inspiron.

The MSI Raider GE76 has a better screen than the Dell Inspiron 16 5635 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
When selecting a laptop for general use, the Dell Inspiron's screen might disappoint due to its lower brightness and resolution, while the MSI Raider GE76's higher resolution and brightness offer a more vivid and detailed viewing experience. For engineering and design works, the Inspiron may fall short on color accuracy as color gamuts are crucial and it lacks the wider color range that the MSI provides, impacting the realism and precision needed for such tasks. However, for gaming and 3D applications, despite the MSI's superior resolution and panel type, both laptops may not satisfy due to their lower refresh rates, which are essential for smooth and responsive visuals in fast-paced scenarios.

How the Dell Inspiron 16 5635 and the MSI Raider GE76 compare to other laptops
"Compared to the previous year’s Inspiron, Dell upgraded the screen aspect ratio on this generation, but also transitioned to a more minimalistic centered keyboard flanked by up-firing speakers. The 16-inch screen is huge plus and I really appreciate the extra real estate without sacrificing the footprint much. This year’s model is a little larger than last, though, as the former model was already very small for a 15 incher."
"The MSI Raider GE76: with Alder Lake and RTX 3080 Ti to gaming heaven. Yes, MSI could improve some aspects (like the quality of the webcam), but the manufacturer offers a very convincing and balanced overall package. The biggest advantage is definitely the immense performance potential. The combination of Core i9-12900HK, GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, 32 GB DDR5 RAM and two NVMe SSDs offers a lot of performance for the next couple of years and plenty of power for 3D applications. Most titles would run smoothly on an external 4K screen no matter the quality preset. We came away impressed with the integrated 360 Hz panel's fast response times and good color accuracy."
