The Dell Inspiron 16 5635, being somewhat less expensive, offers silent operation and a higher resolution 16:10 display, which could be favorable for productivity tasks that benefit from more vertical screen space. On the other hand, the MSI Cyborg 15 comes with a dedicated Nvidia RTX graphics card and a high-refresh 16:9 display, making it better suited for gaming and graphic-intensive tasks. The Cyborg is also slightly heavier and thicker, which may affect portability. Your choice should reflect whether you prioritize a quieter, potentially more affordable option for general use and work (Dell), or performance and graphics power for gaming and creative applications (MSI). The Dell Inspiron 16 5635 and MSI Cyborg 15 have screens with adequate resolution and brightness suitable for everyday tasks like browsing and video streaming, thus offering fair screen quality for general use. However, these models might not cover the wider color gamuts needed by professionals in engineering and design, which explains why they are rated as fair instead of excellent in these fields. Their lower refresh rates impact the experience negatively for fast-paced 3D applications, making them less suitable for gaming, where smoother motion and quicker image updates are crucial.

How the Dell Inspiron 16 5635 and the MSI Cyborg 15 compare to other laptops
"Compared to the previous year’s Inspiron, Dell upgraded the screen aspect ratio on this generation, but also transitioned to a more minimalistic centered keyboard flanked by up-firing speakers. The 16-inch screen is huge plus and I really appreciate the extra real estate without sacrificing the footprint much. This year’s model is a little larger than last, though, as the former model was already very small for a 15 incher."
"The focus of the MSI Cyborg 15 lies on a compromise of performance, mobility, and power consumption. Due to the reduced performance settings, the CPU and GPU perform below their capabilities. Nonetheless, their computing power is still sufficient for FHD gaming at high to maximum settings even then. The power consumption, which is low for a gaming laptop, can be translated into a good battery life. Realistic values of 7 to 8 h are still possible, despite the relatively small battery capacity of 53.5 Wh. Unfortunately the USB-C port doesn't offer any support for Power Delivery, which would be a sensible feature in the case of the Cyborg."
