If you're looking for a more budget-friendly option for everyday use, the Dell Inspiron 16 5635 may serve your needs well. It's designed for silent operation and standard tasks like web browsing, office work, and media consumption. However, if your requirements include high-end gaming, complex video editing, or intensive graphic design, the HP Omen 16 offers more powerful hardware capable of smooth performance in these demanding tasks, justifying its higher price. The Omen 16 also has a higher refresh rate display, which is beneficial for gaming, but it's heavier and might be less convenient to carry around compared to the lighter Dell Inspiron. Give Feedback

The HP Omen 16 is very good for engineering and design, while the Dell Inspiron 16 5635 is good.
The HP Omen 16, with its powerful Intel i7 processor and high-end Nvidia RTX GPU, outperforms the Dell Inspiron 16 5635 for engineering and design tasks that require more intensive computing and graphics capabilities. However, the Inspiron, while less suited for those high-intensity tasks due to its less powerful AMD Ryzen CPU and integrated GPU, offers better screen resolution and may be more portable with a fanless design that operates silently.

The HP Omen 16 has a better screen than the Dell Inspiron 16 5635 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
The Dell Inspiron 16 5635 offers a decent visual experience with its resolution and brightness, making it suitable for everyday tasks like browsing and office work, though it falls short for more color-critical tasks due to its limited color gamut and lacks the higher refresh rates desired in gaming. The HP Omen 16, with its better color coverage, caters to engineering and design professionals who need more accurate color representation, yet like the Dell, it doesn't provide the optimal refresh rates that gamers seek for smooth visuals in fast-paced games. Both laptops, having limitations in their displays, are not ideal choices for gaming enthusiasts or professionals working in 3D environments where higher refresh rates and superior color accuracy are crucial.

Although they have very similar scores, PerfectRec considers Dell Inspiron 16 5635 to be very good for general use, while the HP Omen 16 is good.
The Dell Inspiron 16 5635 excels in general use due to its combination of sufficient processing power, ample memory, and a high-quality screen, alongside its lightweight design which enhances portability and longer battery life. In contrast, the HP Omen 16, while also suitable for general use, is designed with a focus on gaming, evident by its powerful CPU and dedicated graphics card, but this comes at the expense of heavier weight, reduced battery life, and potentially more operating noise and heat, which might not be as conducive to general usage scenarios.

How the Dell Inspiron 16 5635 and the HP Omen 16 compare to other laptops
"Compared to the previous year’s Inspiron, Dell upgraded the screen aspect ratio on this generation, but also transitioned to a more minimalistic centered keyboard flanked by up-firing speakers. The 16-inch screen is huge plus and I really appreciate the extra real estate without sacrificing the footprint much. This year’s model is a little larger than last, though, as the former model was already very small for a 15 incher."
"The Omen 16 has proven to be a fairly good mid-range gaming laptop with all-around improvements compared to the Omen 15. The high overall performance level across all use cases, the long battery life, and the good FHD display constitute the main advantages of this HP laptop. The main drawbacks are the faulty touchpad (one-off?) and the high latencies that can be observed even after just opening the browser. Furthermore, the useless, preinstalled 30-day trial versions of various software also fall under the category "unnecessary"."
