Selecting between the Dell Inspiron 16 5635 and the Framework Laptop 13 (2023), take into account that the Dell Inspiron offers more storage space and RAM, which can handle multitasking and storage-intensive tasks better. If performance in engineering applications is important for you, the Dell might be a more suitable choice due to its larger RAM. However, the Framework Laptop, while more expensive and with less storage and RAM, is lighter and scores higher in portability, making it a better option for those who travel often. Both have similar battery life, but the Framework has a higher-resolution screen and is rated higher for general use cases. If the quality of the display and color accuracy are important, particularly for visual tasks or media consumption, the Framework Laptop may be preferable. Additionally, bear in mind the Framework Laptop's modular design, which could ease future upgrades and repairs. Give Feedback

How the Dell Inspiron 16 5635 and the Framework Laptop 13 (2023) compare to other laptops
"Compared to the previous year’s Inspiron, Dell upgraded the screen aspect ratio on this generation, but also transitioned to a more minimalistic centered keyboard flanked by up-firing speakers. The 16-inch screen is huge plus and I really appreciate the extra real estate without sacrificing the footprint much. This year’s model is a little larger than last, though, as the former model was already very small for a 15 incher."
"If you’re thinking of investing in your first Framework, now is the time. The kinks and rough edges have all been smoothed out and this is a very nice machine with a bright, upgradable future. The only reason I can think of to wait is the AMD model, which I’ll be sure to test as soon as I can get my hands on one."
