If price is a major concern and your computing needs are focused on general tasks like web browsing, office applications, and media consumption, the Dell Inspiron 16 5630 may suit you well and save you money. For those needing more power for demanding applications such as 3D rendering, machine learning, or gaming, the Gigabyte Aorus 17H offers better performance but at a higher price. The larger size and possibly shorter battery life of the Aorus 17H impact its portability, making the lighter and potentially longer-lasting battery of the Dell Inspiron more appealing for those on the go. The Gigabyte Aorus 17H is very good for gaming and AI, while the Dell Inspiron 16 5630 is only fair.
The Gigabyte Aorus 17H excels in gaming and 3D applications due to its high-end Nvidia RTX 4080 GPU and a screen with a high refresh rate of 360, while the Dell Inspiron 16 5630 has a more modest integrated Intel Iris Xe GPU and a standard refresh rate of 60, making it only fair for such tasks.

The Gigabyte Aorus 17H is very good for engineering and design, while the Dell Inspiron 16 5630 is good.
The Gigabyte Aorus 17H is rated very good for engineering and design uses partially because of its powerful Nvidia RTX 4080 GPU which outperforms the integrated GPU in the Dell Inspiron 16 5630, providing greater handling of graphics-intensive tasks, but this also results in less portability due to its higher weight and larger size. While both laptops offer similar memory and storage capacities, the Aorus 17H's superior screen with a high refresh rate and better color coverage may benefit design work more, albeit with a sacrifice in battery life compared to the Inspiron 16 5630.

The Dell Inspiron 16 5630 has a better screen than the Gigabyte Aorus 17H for software development, while the Gigabyte Aorus 17H has a better screen for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
The Dell Inspiron 16 5630's screen, with its resolution and brightness, offers a clear and vibrant display suitable for everyday tasks, but it lacks the high color accuracy crucial for engineering and design tasks and the fast refresh rate desired for smooth 3D experiences. The Gigabyte Aorus 17H provides a high-quality display with adequate color accuracy for professional work in engineering and design, yet, despite its general screen excellence, the lower refresh rate limits the potential for seamless gaming or 3D rendering. Overall, the Dell is a solid choice for general use, the Gigabyte excels in tasks requiring color precision, and neither is ideal for gaming or 3D applications demanding high refresh rates.

How the Dell Inspiron 16 5630 and the Gigabyte Aorus 17H compare to other laptops
"Overall though, it’s *lots of swearing* fast, seriously. For work, rendering, gaming, it doesn’t matter, this is a true weapon of performance that’s going to run rings around most high-end desktop systems. If you absolutely have to game at ultra-high refresh rates on the go (but within thinking distance of a plug socket), this is the ticket. I can’t see such an extreme being that appealing to everyone, but if you take your gaming seriously, or even professionally, there’s nothing else out there that comes close that you can still fit in your backpack and travel with."
