Choosing between the Dell Inspiron 16 5630 and the Dell Inspiron 16 5635 depends on your preferences for performance, display quality, operating system, and portability. The 5630 model, which is slightly less expensive, features an Intel processor, a good balance between performance and battery life, a lower-resolution display, and comes with Windows 11 Pro. If high-resolution visuals are important, the extra cost for the 5635 could be worthwhile, whereas if you prioritize a balance of performance and value, the 5630 might be the better choice. The Dell Inspiron 16 5630 has a better screen than the Dell Inspiron 16 5635 for general use, engineering and design, and content creation.
When choosing between the Dell Inspiron 16 5630 and 5635 for general use, consider that the 5630 has a screen that offers sharper images and better brightness, enhancing your everyday activities like browsing and video streaming. For those in engineering and design, the 5630's display provides wider color coverage, which ensures more accurate color representation in projects requiring precise hues. However, both laptops may not suit gaming or 3D modeling enthusiasts well, as their screens do not have high refresh rates needed for smooth visuals in fast-paced games or rendering.

The Dell Inspiron 16 5630 and Dell Inspiron 16 5635 are both only fair for gaming and AI.
The Dell Inspiron 16 5630 and Inspiron 16 5635 are considered fair for gaming and 3D due to their integrated GPUs—the Intel Iris Xe and the AMD Vega 8 respectively—which are capable but not as powerful as dedicated gaming GPUs, thus offering moderate performance for gaming and 3D tasks. Both models have a standard screen refresh rate of 60Hz which is adequate for casual gaming but less suitable for high-end gaming that benefits from higher refresh rates; plus, their CPUs and screen quality factors are reasonably good, but secondary to the GPU and refresh rate for gaming performance.

How the Dell Inspiron 16 5630 and the Dell Inspiron 16 5635 compare to other laptops
"Compared to the previous year’s Inspiron, Dell upgraded the screen aspect ratio on this generation, but also transitioned to a more minimalistic centered keyboard flanked by up-firing speakers. The 16-inch screen is huge plus and I really appreciate the extra real estate without sacrificing the footprint much. This year’s model is a little larger than last, though, as the former model was already very small for a 15 incher."
