The Dell Inspiron 16 5625 is typically more affordable, has a larger 16-inch display, and comes with a 16:10 aspect ratio, which is ideal for productivity tasks as it offers more vertical space. It also has a touch screen and longer battery life, making it suitable for general use and multitasking. However, the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 has a slightly smaller screen but much higher performance capabilities with powerful graphics, making it more suitable for gaming, 3D rendering, machine learning, and demanding engineering software. It is more expensive, but it has better color coverage, higher brightness, and a higher refresh rate screen. If portability and general usage are priorities, consider the Dell. On the other hand, if you need better performance for intensive tasks and gaming, the Lenovo would be the better option. Give Feedback

The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 has a better screen than the Dell Inspiron 16 5625 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
The Dell Inspiron's display quality suffices for everyday tasks due to its adequate resolution and brightness but falls short for engineering and design since it doesn't offer the wide color gamuts necessary for precise color work. The Lenovo Legion Slim's higher resolution and brightness, alongside better color reproduction, suit it well for engineering and design applications despite not having premium color accuracy found in specialized screens. Both laptops are not ideal for 3D and gaming, as their displays lack the high refresh rates required for smooth motion and fast-paced visuals.

The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 15.6" and Dell Inspiron 16 5625 are both good for general use.
The Dell Inspiron 16 5625's strong CPU and 16GB of RAM make it suitable for general use, with good screen quality and portability due to a reasonable battery life and weight, while the Lenovo Legion Slim 7's similarly strong CPU and RAM, along with a high-quality screen, lean towards general use too, but it shines with better heat management and speaker quality which could sway users who value multimedia performance and longer computing sessions. Both laptops offer ample storage and quality keyboards, but the Legion's gaming hardware and better battery life provide an edge for more demanding applications at the cost of a slightly heavier build.

How the Dell Inspiron 16 5625 and the Lenovo Legion Slim 7 15.6" compare to other laptops
"I think there is fair value in the Inspiron 16 this year. Very little has changed with the laptop and my opinion hasn’t really changed either. In other words, I like it. Overall, I think the pros far outweigh the cons of this laptop and the price is certainly justifiable. I found this to be a great typer and I could potentially work all day on this machine, provided I don’t need a graphics card."
"The Lenovo Legion Slim 7 is a slim Legion notebook that is just as excellent with Nvidia & Intel. However, the Legion Slim 7i slightly sullied by lacklustre battery life. You get a slim aluminium chassis, great input devices, decent port selection, fast high-quality WQXGA display and great performance. Supporting Thunderbolt 4 is one advantage of the Intel/Nvidia model tested in this review. Moreover, this variant has slightly higher CPU performance as well as better GPU performance in certain applications (e.g. CUDA-based apps). The Lenovo Legion S7i is thin, premium and performant – but less efficient than its AMD counterpart."
