For general use with a focus on budget-friendliness, the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" is less expensive and offers a larger screen, making it a solid choice for everyday tasks and media consumption. However, if better performance for engineering or more intensive tasks is needed and you are willing to spend more, the Dell Inspiron 16 5625 provides more power and RAM for such activities. The Dell also has a higher resolution with a more productivity-aimed aspect ratio and a better build quality. On the flip side, the Lenovo has a slightly longer battery life and may be a better option if you prioritize screen size and cost savings over performance. Both have similar portability, though the slightly lighter weight of the Dell might be preferable for frequent travelers. Give Feedback

For engineering and design work, while both laptops provide good resolution, the Lenovo has a slight edge due to better coverage of color gamuts like DCI-P3 and Adobe RGB, which translates to more accurate color reproduction. However, for gaming and 3D applications where a high refresh rate is crucial, neither laptop is ideal because they prioritize resolution and color accuracy over the smooth motion clarity afforded by higher refresh rates.

How the Dell Inspiron 16 5625 and the Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" compare to other laptops
"I think there is fair value in the Inspiron 16 this year. Very little has changed with the laptop and my opinion hasn’t really changed either. In other words, I like it. Overall, I think the pros far outweigh the cons of this laptop and the price is certainly justifiable. I found this to be a great typer and I could potentially work all day on this machine, provided I don’t need a graphics card."
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 3 17" defies expectations. Indeed, it is just a minor upgrade over last year. However, this doesn’t make the laptop any less terrific. It’s got a great performance, courtesy of the Ryzen 5x25U processors. In addition, you get a pretty good battery life. Perhaps, the 2-hour decrease in video playback, compared to last year is not great, but still, 10 hours of Web browsing and 7 hours of video playback is okay for 17-inch notebooks."
