The MSI Stealth GS77 has a better screen than the Dell Inspiron 16 5620 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, content creation, and software development.
When selecting a laptop, the Dell Inspiron 16 5620 offers a balance suitable for everyday tasks, with adequate resolution and brightness for general use, but its color accuracy doesn't quite meet the more demanding standards required for engineering and design workflows. The MSI Stealth GS77, with higher fidelity in color reproduction, makes it an excellent match for engineering and design purposes, ensuring that fine details and color accuracy are maintained. However, both laptops fall short for gaming and 3D applications due to their lower refresh rates, which are crucial for smooth motion and fast-paced visuals in those scenarios.

"If the world is exciting enough right now, you can do far worse than a solid performer that you know will get the job done. Our review model is as powerful as you'd want an office machine to be unless you're performing specialist tasks and the price point is pretty attractive (unless work will let you have a MacBook Air instead)."
"The MSI Stealth GS77 is better than the GS76... mostly. The GS77 is a few steps forward and a few steps back from the GS76. Improvements are numerous including the stronger and more rigid skeleton, higher resolution webcam, larger clickpad, easier serviceability, relatively similar battery runtimes, newer display options, and higher performance at about the same TDP and TGP levels as before. CPU performance is better than expected even when compared to other laptops with Core i7 or Core i9 processors. The newer model feels more substantial than the outgoing one for higher quality impressions as well."
