Choosing between the Dell Inspiron 15 3530 and the MSI Modern 14 depends on your priorities. The Dell Inspiron has a larger 15.6-inch screen and is likely more powerful with an Intel i5 processor, which is suitable if you need better performance for tasks like video editing or running complex software. However, it's heavier, which makes it less portable. Conversely, the MSI Modern 14 is lighter and therefore more portable, with a smaller 14-inch screen, and might offer sufficient performance for everyday use and lighter tasks. It also runs on an AMD Ryzen processor, which could offer better graphics performance out-the-box due to integrated Vega graphics. The Dell is more expensive and might have a higher build quality and potentially longer support as it's a newer model. Consider what matters most to you, performance and screen size or cost and portability, to make your decision. Give Feedback

The Dell Inspiron 15 3530 has a better screen than the MSI Modern 14 for gaming and AI.
The Dell Inspiron and MSI Modern laptops have fair screen quality for general use because their resolution and brightness levels are sufficient for basic tasks like browsing and streaming, but not exceptional for fine detail work. For engineering and design, these laptops display fair screen quality because they cover some but not all of the color space required for professional color work, meaning they are fine for hobbyists but not ideal for precision work. However, their screen quality is poor for gaming and 3D because they lack the high refresh rates needed for smooth motion in fast-paced games and may not provide the crisp details and responsiveness required in this area.

How the Dell Inspiron 15 3530 and the MSI Modern 14 compare to other laptops
Alexander Tozzi, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | October 2023
"The MSI Modern 14 is okay for school use. It's very compact, so it's easy to carry around. It has a sharp display, a spacious keyboard, and a reasonably large touchpad. Its Intel 13th Gen CPU and integrated graphics can handle general productivity tasks like text processing and web browsing; however, don't expect to do anything intensive like 3D modeling or physics simulations. Unfortunately, the battery lasts less than five hours of light use, and the display doesn't get bright enough to combat glare."
