The MSI GP66 Leopard has a better screen than the Dell Inspiron 15 3511 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
The Dell Inspiron 15 3511, with a basic panel, modest resolution, and adequate brightness, covers the essentials for everyday tasks but lacks the vividness and sharpness that professional work like engineering and design may require. The MSI GP66 Leopard, sporting a higher-quality display with solid resolution and brightness, provides more accurate colors essential for engineering and design, but both laptops fall short for 3D applications due to their lower refresh rates, which don't match the fluidity needed for optimal gaming experiences. While both can handle general and professional tasks to a degree, neither is tailor-made for the high-paced visual demands of gaming or intensive 3D modeling.

How the Dell Inspiron 15 3511 and the MSI GP66 Leopard compare to other laptops
"The Dell Inspiron 15 3000 (3511) is a solid, if unremarkable, 15-inch budget laptop. It improves on many of the issues we had with the previous 3505 model, and with the inclusion of Windows 11, the 3511 is already a step above its competition. The lack of a USB-C port, the subpar speakers, and the dim display are drawbacks to factor in, but it's still one of the better 15-inch budget laptops on the market, especially when you consider it's under $400."
"The MSI GP66 Leopard is a good budget high-performance gamer. The MSI also does a lot right outside of the pure performance despite it's low price. For example, the adaptive cooling system really surprised us positively, even in Extreme Performance Mode. And the display is not a budget panel either, but at least outshines the competition in terms of brightness. Of course, you also have to accept a few compromises in this price category. These include the Leopard's poor battery runtimes and the less than optimal build quality, which is also noticeable in the more complicated maintenance."
