For a balance of performance and value, the Dell Inspiron 14 Plus is a solid choice with its capable Intel i7 processor and ample RAM, making it suitable for general use and light engineering tasks. It offers a sharp, high-resolution display with accurate colors, though it lacks touch capability. Its battery life is respectable, ensuring you can work for a good stretch without needing a charge. The Dell is also more affordable, leaving you with extra budget for peripherals or software. On the other hand, if you're looking for a more premium experience and can stretch your budget, the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i stands out with its vibrant Mini LED display that supports touch and has a higher refresh rate, which is great for smoother visuals. The inclusion of an Nvidia RTX 4050 GPU makes it better suited for gaming, 3D rendering, and machine learning tasks. It also boasts superior build quality, a more comprehensive port selection, and advanced features like facial recognition for added security. However, these premium features come at a higher price point and slightly reduced portability due to its weight and size. Ultimately, your decision should be based on your specific needs and budget. If you prioritize performance and premium features for more demanding tasks and are willing to pay for them, the Lenovo Yoga Pro 9i is the way to go. If you're looking for a more cost-effective solution that still delivers solid performance for everyday tasks, the Dell Inspiron 14 Plus is the better option. Give Feedback

Allen Ngo | August 2022
"The Dell Inspiron 14 Plus is for power users on a budget. If you're looking to maximize CPU and GPU performance on your next 14-inch laptop, then consider the pricier Razer Blade 14 or Asus Zephyrus G14. If you're looking for a thin-and-light 14-inch Ultrabook, then the Asus Zenbook 14 or LG Gram 14 may be better options. For the best of both worlds, however, the Dell Inspiron 14 Plus 7420 rides a fine line between extreme performance and portability while keeping prices at reasonable levels. Frequent travelers who rely on performance beyond what the Core U-series and integrated graphics series can offer will find the Dell to be a solid solution."
