When choosing between the Dell Inspiron 14 Plus and the Lenovo ThinkPad P16, consider that the Dell is significantly less expensive, lighter, and has longer battery life, making it more suited for portability and general use. On the other hand, the Lenovo is more expensive but offers more power for intensive engineering, 3D rendering, and machine learning tasks thanks to its Nvidia RTX A1000 graphics. Its build is sturdier, and it has a larger, higher resolution display, which might better suit professional creative work but at the cost of heavier weight and reduced battery life compared to the Dell. Both have a high-quality keyboard, but only Lenovo has a number pad if that's a necessity for your workflow. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Allen Ngo | August 2022
"The Dell Inspiron 14 Plus is for power users on a budget. If you're looking to maximize CPU and GPU performance on your next 14-inch laptop, then consider the pricier Razer Blade 14 or Asus Zephyrus G14. If you're looking for a thin-and-light 14-inch Ultrabook, then the Asus Zenbook 14 or LG Gram 14 may be better options. For the best of both worlds, however, the Dell Inspiron 14 Plus 7420 rides a fine line between extreme performance and portability while keeping prices at reasonable levels. Frequent travelers who rely on performance beyond what the Core U-series and integrated graphics series can offer will find the Dell to be a solid solution."

PCMag

Eric Grevstad | February 2023
"It's only a few months since we gave the MSI CreatorPro X17 one of our rare 4.5-star ratings and our top mobile workstation honor, but the Lenovo ThinkPad P16 Gen 1 matches that achievement in a more premium overall build. Ultimately, its build quality, screen, and keyboard give our latest Editors' Choice nod to the Lenovo—it's enough of a monster on almost all fronts that it simply cannot be ignored."
