When choosing between the Dell Inspiron 14 Plus and the HP Spectre x360 14, consider that the Spectre's higher price tag comes with a premium build and convertible design for tablet-like use, likely appealing to those prioritizing versatility and aesthetics. The Inspiron may offer a cost advantage for similar performance, being a solid choice for general computing tasks. However, if your work involves more portable computing or you enjoy the flexibility of using your device in various modes, the extra investment in the Spectre could be worthwhile for its portability and 2-in-1 functionality. NotebookCheck

Allen Ngo | August 2022
"The Dell Inspiron 14 Plus is for power users on a budget. If you're looking to maximize CPU and GPU performance on your next 14-inch laptop, then consider the pricier Razer Blade 14 or Asus Zephyrus G14. If you're looking for a thin-and-light 14-inch Ultrabook, then the Asus Zenbook 14 or LG Gram 14 may be better options. For the best of both worlds, however, the Dell Inspiron 14 Plus 7420 rides a fine line between extreme performance and portability while keeping prices at reasonable levels. Frequent travelers who rely on performance beyond what the Core U-series and integrated graphics series can offer will find the Dell to be a solid solution."

Rami Tabari | February 2024
"The numbers don’t lie — the HP Spectre x360 14 (2024) is a star, and a hell of a one at that. From performance to battery life, this machine is a dream. But why didn’t I give it a perfect score? Well, I wish the display performed better and that there were more ports to go around. If you’re itching for someone a little cheaper that offers a brighter display and significantly more battery life, I can only recommend the MacBook Pro 14 as a suitable substitute. Otherwise, the HP Spectre x360 14 (2024) is the perfect choice for those who want a reliable premium laptop."
