When choosing between the Dell Inspiron 14 Plus and the HP Envy x360 15, consider that the Dell offers higher performance suited for engineering tasks due to better processing power and a larger memory, but it comes at a higher cost and with less portability compared to the HP. On the other hand, the HP Envy is more budget-friendly, has a touchscreen and is more portable, making it suitable for general usage, but it has less memory and storage, which may not be ideal for intensive tasks. The Dell also has a higher quality build but shorter battery life, while the HP, despite a longer battery life, may not handle heat as well. Both have a similar range of ports and connectivity options, although the HP accommodates an additional storage upgrade. Depending on your needs for performance, budget, and portability, choose the one that aligns most closely with your priorities. Give Feedback

NotebookCheck

Allen Ngo | August 2022
"The Dell Inspiron 14 Plus is for power users on a budget. If you're looking to maximize CPU and GPU performance on your next 14-inch laptop, then consider the pricier Razer Blade 14 or Asus Zephyrus G14. If you're looking for a thin-and-light 14-inch Ultrabook, then the Asus Zenbook 14 or LG Gram 14 may be better options. For the best of both worlds, however, the Dell Inspiron 14 Plus 7420 rides a fine line between extreme performance and portability while keeping prices at reasonable levels. Frequent travelers who rely on performance beyond what the Core U-series and integrated graphics series can offer will find the Dell to be a solid solution."

CNET

Matt Elliott | January 2023
"Despite its good looks, stellar webcam and comfortable keyboard, the Envy x360 15 is hard to recommend because of its dim, 16:9 display. If the display isn't an issue for you, just be sure to wait for a good sale price. Otherwise, a more modern two-in-one with a 16:10 display such as the Dell Inspiron 16 2-in-1 or Lenovo Yoga 7i 16 provides a larger workspace without adding much to the size and weight of the system."
