The Dell Inspiron 14 7435 is more affordable, with a longer battery life and a slightly smaller, lighter design, making it easier to carry around. It's a 2-in-1 with a touchscreen, better suited for general use, and sufficient for less demanding engineering tasks. Conversely, the MSI GF65 Thin, although pricier and heavier with a shorter battery life, offers much stronger graphics performance thanks to its RTX 3060, which makes it suitable for gaming, 3D rendering and machine learning projects. It has a high-refresh-rate screen but lacks a touchscreen, which could be important depending on your needs. Give Feedback

The Dell Inpsiron 14 7435 is good for general use, while the MSI GF65 Thin is only fair.
The Dell Inspiron 14 7435 shines in general use with better screen quality, a high-resolution touchscreen, robust portability, and long battery life, making it suitable for a range of everyday tasks. In contrast, the MSI GF65 Thin, while strong in its CPU and GPU for gaming, falls short in general use due to lower RAM, less storage space, and a shorter battery life, which can limit multitasking and on-the-go usage.

The Dell Inpsiron 14 7435 has a better screen than the MSI GF65 Thin for software development, and content creation, while the MSI GF65 Thin has a better screen for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
For general use, both the Dell Inspiron 14 7435 and MSI GF65 Thin have adequate resolution and brightness, but the panel type may not offer the best color or viewing angles, which affects their overall screen quality. In terms of engineering and design, neither has the wide color gamuts necessary for precise color work, which means colors might not be as accurate or vibrant as needed for professional editing tasks. When it comes to 3D and gaming, the refresh rate on both laptops is likely lower than preferred, hampering the smoothness and responsiveness required for fast-paced visual content, even though their resolutions and panel types are satisfactory.

How the Dell Inpsiron 14 7435 and the MSI GF65 Thin compare to other laptops
"We see no shame in an economy laptop missing the four-star mark. Frankly, we considered giving the Inspiron 14 2-in-1 three-and-a-half stars for its low price, competitive performance, and long battery life. Unfortunately, working with a screen that can't deliver at least 300 nits of brightness is simply no fun to the point of detrimental. Still, if you're looking for a convertible laptop on a tight budget, it's worth keeping an eye on Dell's sales and discounts. That Lavender Blue model is fairly tempting."
"The MSI GF65 Thin offers a GeForce RTX 3060 on a budget. The MSI GF65 is a relatively inexpensive RTX 3060 laptop and, perhaps not coincidentally, it also comes with a slower-than-average RTX 3060 GPU. Other laptops we've tested thus far with the same GPU are about 10 to 15 percent faster. CPU performance is also slightly slower than average unless if users decide to enable Cooler Boost mode. Colors, black-white response times, Thunderbolt, and DisplayPort are either average or completely omitted. Gamers who want to maximize performance-per-dollar without sacrificing RAM or SSD upgradeability will find the lightweight MSI GF65 attractive."
