The Dell Inspiron 14 7435, being slightly less expensive, offers good value and features an AMD processor with integrated graphics, a larger screen that can also be used as a tablet, and comes with more storage space. Its build is bulkier and heavier, which may impact portability. On the other hand, the Microsoft Surface Laptop 5 13" has a higher-resolution display with a unique aspect ratio, an Intel processor with Iris graphics, and is lighter and slimmer, enhancing its portability. It also features a better webcam quality and a more premium build. Choose the Dell if cost and versatility are priorities, or the Surface Laptop for better portability and display. Give Feedback

The Microsoft Surface Laptop 5 13" has a better screen than the Dell Inpsiron 14 7435 for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
For general use, the Microsoft Surface Laptop 5 offers a brighter, higher-resolution display, improving clarity and detail for everyday tasks like browsing and watching videos. Engineers and designers will prefer the Surface Laptop 5 for its wider color gamut, which ensures more accurate color representation in professional applications. However, neither laptop is ideal for gaming or 3D work due to their lower refresh rate, yet the Surface's better resolution and panel type still provide a somewhat improved experience in these areas compared to the Dell Inspiron.

How the Dell Inpsiron 14 7435 and the Microsoft Surface Laptop 5 13" compare to other laptops
"We see no shame in an economy laptop missing the four-star mark. Frankly, we considered giving the Inspiron 14 2-in-1 three-and-a-half stars for its low price, competitive performance, and long battery life. Unfortunately, working with a screen that can't deliver at least 300 nits of brightness is simply no fun to the point of detrimental. Still, if you're looking for a convertible laptop on a tight budget, it's worth keeping an eye on Dell's sales and discounts. That Lavender Blue model is fairly tempting."
"The Surface Laptop 5 remains afloat as a solid machine. It's just not one that stands out in any particular way. Just like the last one. The biggest upgrade were some new components, but they perform in the same range as other laptops with them, and frequently at the bottom of that range. I suspect Microsoft's settings are very conservative to help keep cooling and battery life within reason in the older chassis design."
