For general use, the Dell Inspiron 14 7435 offers excellent value with its lower midrange price, providing a solid performance for everyday tasks, a high-quality display with touchscreen capabilities, and good battery life, all in a portable design. It's also versatile as a 2-in-1 convertible. However, it falls short for intensive tasks like gaming, 3D rendering, or engineering work due to its integrated graphics. On the other hand, the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i (2024) is a powerhouse designed for high-performance tasks, including gaming and engineering. Its premium price reflects the top-tier components, such as the Intel i9 processor and Nvidia RTX 4080 graphics card, which deliver exceptional performance in these demanding areas. The screen quality is also superior, with a high resolution and refresh rate, making it ideal for fast-motion content and color-critical work. It's built for those who prioritize performance over portability, given its heavier and thicker design compared to the Dell. In summary, if you need a versatile, portable device for everyday use and light tasks, the Dell Inspiron 14 7435 is a cost-effective choice. But if you're looking for a machine that can handle the most demanding applications and games with the best screen quality, the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i (2024) is the way to go, provided you're willing to compromise on portability and price. PCMag

Eric Grevstad | August 2023
"We see no shame in an economy laptop missing the four-star mark. Frankly, we considered giving the Inspiron 14 2-in-1 three-and-a-half stars for its low price, competitive performance, and long battery life. Unfortunately, working with a screen that can't deliver at least 300 nits of brightness is simply no fun to the point of detrimental. Still, if you're looking for a convertible laptop on a tight budget, it's worth keeping an eye on Dell's sales and discounts. That Lavender Blue model is fairly tempting."

"Passionate gamers who want to play demanding modern titles with maximum details and don't mind spending the moolah will find the Lenovo Legion 7 Pro to be the right choice. The bright, sharp, and color-accurate 16:10 QHD 240 Hz display makes for an immersive viewing experience. The hardware is housed in a stylish chassis that feels premium and scores well in terms of workmanship and stability. Other aspects such as sound quality, input devices, and connectivity also seem to be near-perfect."
