The Dell Inspiron 14 7435 is more expensive but offers higher performance with better processing power and more memory, making it suitable for more intensive tasks such as engineering work and light gaming. It also has better portability because of its smaller size and slightly lighter weight. The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 3, while more affordable and with a larger screen, has less memory and a lower tier processor, making it more fitting for general use and not as suitable for demanding applications. Both have good battery life, but the Lenovo edges out slightly in this aspect and may be a better choice if you prioritize longer usage on a single charge and cost-effectiveness over power and performance. PCMag

Eric Grevstad | August 2023
"We see no shame in an economy laptop missing the four-star mark. Frankly, we considered giving the Inspiron 14 2-in-1 three-and-a-half stars for its low price, competitive performance, and long battery life. Unfortunately, working with a screen that can't deliver at least 300 nits of brightness is simply no fun to the point of detrimental. Still, if you're looking for a convertible laptop on a tight budget, it's worth keeping an eye on Dell's sales and discounts. That Lavender Blue model is fairly tempting."

Rtings

Olivier Martin, Ryan Lim, and John Peroramas | May 2023
"The Lenovo IdeaPad 3i is decent for use as a workstation. Its Intel CPU and integrated graphics can only handle light productivity tasks, not demanding workloads like video editing or 3D graphics. You also can't do any color-critical work because the available displays have a narrow color gamut. It has a good port selection, but its USB-C lacks Thunderbolt 4 support. On the upside, it has a comfortable keyboard and doesn't get hot or loud under load."
