If you prioritize a high-performing device for 3D rendering, machine learning, or gaming, and don't mind a higher cost with less portability, the Gigabyte Aorus 17H stands out with superior graphics and processing power. Conversely, the Dell Inspiron 14 5425 is more affordable, offers better battery life, and is easier to carry, making it a suitable choice for general use and less demanding engineering tasks. However, the Dell's performance and display characteristics for color-intensive and fast-paced tasks are not as impressive as the Gigabyte's. Consider your primary use and if mobility or power is more crucial for your workflow. Give Feedback

The Gigabyte Aorus 17H is very good for engineering and design, while the Dell Inspiron 14 5425 is good.
The Gigabyte Aorus 17H is very good for engineering and design because it has a high-performance CPU and top-tier GPU, essential for demanding tasks, but it is less portable due to its larger size and weight. In comparison, the Dell Inspiron 14 5425 is merely good for similar tasks with a mid-range CPU and integrated GPU, offering decent performance and better portability at the expense of lower processing power.

The Gigabyte Aorus 17H has a better screen than the Dell Inspiron 14 5425 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and software development.
The Dell Inspiron 14 5425's screen suffices for everyday tasks as its resolution and brightness meet the basic needs, but for gaming or 3D applications, the lower refresh rate hinders smooth visuals. The Gigabyte Aorus 17H excels in general use with a high-resolution, bright display making texts and images crisp and vibrant; however, while its color accuracy benefits engineering and design work, its refresh rate is not optimal for gaming or 3D use where fluid motion is crucial. For those in engineering and design, the Gigabyte's better coverage of color gamuts ensures more accurate color representation, a significant advantage over the Dell.

How the Dell Inspiron 14 5425 and the Gigabyte Aorus 17H compare to other laptops
"A slim chassis, an acceptable weight (1.6 kg) and a real-world battery life of almost 13 hours turn the Inspiron into a mobile companion. Good: The battery can not only be charged using Dell's proprietary power adapter, but also with a universal USB-C power adapter (min. 45 watts). Office and Internet applications are handled by the built-in combination of Ryzen 5 5625U APU and 16 GB of RAM just as easily as modest computer games. Heat and noise development are generally okay, but the laptop should work a bit quieter under full load."
"Overall though, it’s *lots of swearing* fast, seriously. For work, rendering, gaming, it doesn’t matter, this is a true weapon of performance that’s going to run rings around most high-end desktop systems. If you absolutely have to game at ultra-high refresh rates on the go (but within thinking distance of a plug socket), this is the ticket. I can’t see such an extreme being that appealing to everyone, but if you take your gaming seriously, or even professionally, there’s nothing else out there that comes close that you can still fit in your backpack and travel with."
