The Dell Alienware m16 R2 has a better screen than the MSI Stealth GS66 for general use, engineering and design, and content creation.
When evaluating laptops for general use, the Dell Alienware m16 R2's screen stands out due to its high-resolution display and brightness, making it excellent for activities like browsing and watching videos. For engineering and design work, which often involves color-sensitive tasks, this laptop's wide color gamuts ensure that colors are vibrant and accurate. However, for gaming and 3D applications where motion smoothness is key, the lower refresh rate of the Dell Alienware screen is less than ideal when compared to displays with faster refresh rates, which can hinder the gaming experience.

How the Dell Alienware m16 R2 and the MSI Stealth GS66 compare to other laptops
"Alienware’s m16 R2 is a solid gaming laptop that leaves much to be desired, particularly in its quest to fulfill your needs as a product for productivity. Battery life under eight hours and a dim display are both vital issues for something that will accompany you through school projects or a workday. However, the Alienware m16 R2 is an exceedingly powerful gaming laptop, consistently being one of the best in our performance tests when compared against similar products. Even then, its display is lacking color, its fans get pretty darn loud, and its speakers aren’t punchy enough to rise above that noise."
"The MSI Stealth GS66 is powerful enough for QHD. The Core i7-12700H and the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti found in the 12UGS model that we tested run all modern games smoothly in the native QHD resolution. The 15-inch display is very fast with its 240 Hz refresh rate, and it also offers a great color space (almost 100% DCI-P3) on top of that, which should please gamers as well as content creators, although we would have still wished for a higher brightness. Case, input devices, and connectivity (Thunderbolt 4) are at a good level. However, among other things, the GS66 loses points due to the high temperature development in 3D mode and its poor webcam."
