The ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 comes at a lower price point and offers a respectable performance suitable for general use and some creative tasks, with a solid battery life and a lighter build making it more portable. However, its graphics card is less powerful than the MSI's, so it's not ideal for the most intensive 3D rendering, machine learning, or engineering work.
In contrast, the MSI Raider GE76 is priced higher largely due to its significantly more powerful graphics card, making it excellent for gaming, advanced 3D rendering, machine learning, and engineering tasks. It has a higher screen resolution with faster refresh rates for crisp and smooth visuals, but this contributes to a heavier build and a shorter battery life, thus making it less portable.
Therefore, if portability, longer battery life, and a more affordable price are priorities for you, go for the ASUS. But if you require top-notch performance for demanding applications and are okay with a higher cost and less portability, the MSI would be the better choice. Give Feedback

The MSI Raider GE76 is excellent for engineering and design, while the ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 is very good.
The MSI Raider GE76 is rated higher for engineering and design primarily due to its superior graphics processing unit (GPU), which is pivotal for demanding applications used in these fields. While the ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 has commendable capabilities for such tasks, the Raider GE76's more powerful central processing unit (CPU) and higher screen resolution offer enhanced performance and detail clarity that professionals in engineering and design may require.

The MSI Raider GE76 has a better screen than the ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 for general use, gaming and AI, engineering and design, and content creation.
The ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 offers a high-resolution display with good brightness, making it suitable for general use and detail-oriented work like engineering and design, but its lower refresh rate may disappoint gamers seeking fluid motion in fast-paced games. The MSI Raider GE76 also boasts a high-resolution, bright screen with wide color gamuts, ensuring accuracy for professional design tasks while being bright enough for general use; however, despite a better refresh rate compared to the Zenbook, it might still fall short for the highest-end gaming experiences where the highest refresh rates are crucial. The importance of color accuracy in engineering and design is well met by both laptops, but their gaming performance is limited by refresh rates that don't match the top gaming-specific models.

How the ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 and the MSI Raider GE76 compare to other laptops
"The MSI Raider GE76: with Alder Lake and RTX 3080 Ti to gaming heaven. Yes, MSI could improve some aspects (like the quality of the webcam), but the manufacturer offers a very convincing and balanced overall package. The biggest advantage is definitely the immense performance potential. The combination of Core i9-12900HK, GeForce RTX 3080 Ti, 32 GB DDR5 RAM and two NVMe SSDs offers a lot of performance for the next couple of years and plenty of power for 3D applications. Most titles would run smoothly on an external 4K screen no matter the quality preset. We came away impressed with the integrated 360 Hz panel's fast response times and good color accuracy."
