When choosing between the ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 and the Lenovo Legion 5 15", consider what you prioritize. The ASUS Zenbook offers a larger screen and longer battery life, making it suitable for professionals who value screen real estate and longevity while juggling tasks like video editing. However, its gaming and graphic-intensive capabilities are limited compared to the Lenovo Legion 5, which sports a superior graphics card for gaming or 3D tasks. The Lenovo also offers a higher resolution display, though on a smaller screen. If portability and high-performance gaming or 3D applications are crucial, and you're looking to spend less, the Lenovo Legion 5 would be the wiser choice. But if your work involves less graphics-intensive tasks and you appreciate a more premium build and larger display, despite the higher cost, the ASUS might be more appealing. Give Feedback

The ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 is very good for general use, while the Lenovo Legion 5 15" is good.
The ASUS Zenbook Pro 17, with its larger screen, higher RAM, bigger battery, and higher overall screen quality, provides a superior general use experience where multi-tasking and visual clarity are important. In contrast, the Lenovo Legion 5 15" offers a smaller, higher-resolution display and exceptional keyboard quality, focus on portability and heat management, making it more suitable for users who prioritize gaming and frequent travel over screen size and battery life.

The Lenovo Legion 5 15" is good for gaming and AI, while the ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 is only fair.
The ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 is suitable for gaming and 3D applications due to its dedicated Nvidia RTX 3050 GPU and a standard screen refresh rate, which can handle most games well. In contrast, the Lenovo Legion 5 15" stands out with a much higher screen refresh rate and a more powerful Nvidia RTX 4060 GPU, making it ideal for smoother and more detailed gaming experiences. The tradeoff is that the Zenbook's larger screen may appeal to those who prioritize screen size, while the Legion offers superior gaming performance and a sharper display due to a higher resolution.

The ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 has a better screen than the Lenovo Legion 5 15" for software development, and content creation, while the Lenovo Legion 5 15" has a better screen for general use, gaming and AI, and engineering and design.
The ASUS Zenbook Pro 17, with its high resolution and brightness, offers clarity and detail, making it suitable for everyday tasks and professional applications such as engineering and design software, which rely on precise visuals. However, its screen might not refresh fast enough for the smooth visuals required in high-paced gaming and 3D modeling. On the other hand, the Lenovo Legion 5 15" also provides excellent resolution and brightness for general tasks, and while it covers sufficient color spectrums for engineering and design work, its lower refresh rate limits its ability to display ultra-smooth movement, typically desired in gaming and 3D contexts.

How the ASUS Zenbook Pro 17 and the Lenovo Legion 5 15" compare to other laptops
"The Lenovo Legion 5 15 is an affordable gaming laptop with a lot of power. The new AMD processor Ryzen 7 5800H offers plenty of performance and it is also very efficient. The combination with the fast 130W version of the GeForce RTX 3060 ensures high gaming performance. We also like the fast 165 Hz display with the 1080p resolution. The automatic graphics switching causes some problems with stutters, which are very annoying. If you do not need long battery runtimes, you should definitely deactivate the hybrid graphics mode in Lenovo's Vantage app. The Legion 5 15 is never silent."
